I think the issues that people are running into are related to install methods, etc.  Honestly, it was the same kind of stuff that they were running into on 4.3.

i mean if the phone come on.. you still can fix it.. either by going into fastboot and reflash the recovery from there.. or doing a full wipe and start over.

The same is here. Laggy as 4.3.

The problem started after September 10. At least I'm using CM10.2 build from this date and it's snappy/

All later versions are laggy. Some changes in kernel? And very strange that no one else noticed that..

Does anyone see slight 'lag' present like on the 4.3 Roms? I wonder if it is a hardware issue or just because this is an alpha. Either way, Dhacker been doing this for some many legacy Moto devices, much respect.

are you sure you installed the GApps?  try rebooting to recovery and wiping cache/dalvik.

also, for those that don't know, the flashify app allows you to reboot and reboot recovery - a nice alternative since the framework for this ROM does not have the extended power menu (yet).

I just flashed this rom and two things:

1. Wi-Fi not working - When I turn on Wi-Fi, the phone just says "Wi-Fi turn on" and just sits there. I noticed in Settings/AboutPhone/Status Wi-Fi mac address shows "Unavailable"

2. I lost root when I installed this rom. Root checker closes down when I try and bring it up. SuperSU said I need to update binary and then a screen to boot into recovery (TWRP) and when I push ok, it does not reboot.

The rom really seems good so far, of course I need Wi-Fi and root

My mistake on the SuperSu - I had not installed the SuperSu zip file I downloaded from the first page of this topic. I manually booted in fastboot, into recovery and used TWRP and installed the zip. Now if SuperSu comes up allright - does that mean I did not lose root? Rootchecker still closed when I try to bring it up.

are you able to get to it from the gallery app?  how about a 3rd party camera app?

correct, if it comes up, then you should still have root.

i would try the process again:

reboot recovery

wipe cache/dalvik/system/data/internal storage (making sure that you have the files saved to your external SD)

reboot recovery

install ROM

install GApps

install supersu update

reboot

no need to mount system

something positive I noticed is that the stock e-mail app now allows you to combine all of your e-mail accounts (gmail, verizon, yahoo, etc).  in JB, it could not.

also, battery life has been fine thus far (with bluetooth and google now off).

Did the above and Wi-Fi is working great! Now another question - Checked the phone and I have no camera. Is there a way to get it??

Many thanks for all the help!!
