This phone is amazing. The first thing I normally do when I get a new phone is root it and crackflash. So far I've only rooted it so I could restore apps+data from tibu. This thing is a beast. The knock on feature is nice, especially since Verizon altered the back buttons. The battery life is comparable to the razr maxx. If it works this well out of the gate, then I can't wait to see how the custom roms run on this thing.

I haven't rooted or anything yet. Making sure everything is working order first. (Bought off contract).
It's a great phone as is but I know I'll eventually get that itch.gif)

I got one Friday and rooted Friday afternoon and all was fine then installed teamwin recovery and after reboot that was it phone only booted into recovery mode and wont do anything else. well new phone arrived today but I think I will wait till it's been out for a bit and things get a bit more tested or perhaps safestrap. but the phone is fantastic!

IDK, I think I am ready to part with my Dev HD . I am so pissed at Samsung about the S4 Dev, I might tell them where they can put it........ The X is nice and has some good features, but the screen is just a little small for me. I put it up against my Bionic and it is actually pretty close to the same.
Looking forward to trying the G2

Got mine yesterday Loving it lol. Mine came rooted and lokied with TWRP 6.3.2.1 Decided to put on Malladus rom but did not back up. Dugh. Wiped then loaded rom then Gapps then LG apps Gapps did not load right. So when I booted up No google apps no play search browser etc. No way to download anything. Going nuts trying things but nothing working for 3 hours.. . Could still get into recovery TWRP was still working . So decided to do the go back to stock method .3 hours later after drivers not loaded etc method failing lots of times .I got it. Back to right out of box stock. The one good thing .I can confirm the back to stock removes the rooted message flag back to unrooted Another hour getting back root. lol Been running the Malladus Rom using phone for last 6 hours Still at 78% left at heavy use playing and loading apps. Very happy with this phone. and thanks Kaos and other mods for opening this thread. and a hello to my fellow G2 users

You won't be disappointed. This thing flies right out of the box. I finally got a good stock image to flash back to. It's time to see what this thing is made of!

Oh boy. I can't blame anyone since I'm the one reading your posts-- but I'm getting the fever!
I'm still going to wait for til at least the 14 days have passed. In case something goes wonky. I really like the speed and the stock ui and LG gadgets are keeping me busy for now. Just setting up the laptop with LG drivers and stock images.... Umm, for down the road...

Yeah, so...before you flash anything make sure you backup your data/nandroids/etc... to your computer. I got so used to safestrap and my sdcard that I forgot that when you flash back to stock it wipes the entire device, including internal storage. On a positive note, I have the return to stock method down pat...lol.

I just found out the source of my woes. Chrome was corrupting all of my downloads. I started checking md5s to see what the problem was. I got a different number every time. I had to use ie to get a good download. Guess I'll be doing what I should have been doing from the start and checking md5 sums....smh

Memnoch73, I've read the LG KB app and bounced around a bit on the phone since Saturday. Only three items into the article I learned something that may be the only thing that bugged me: the transparent background in the app drawer. And that I can customize it!

Edit: only *2* items into the article... Edit2: can't directly customize it but maybe the themes have more options. Just saying for clarity and since I was wrong.
