I have tried installing busybox on my Droid MAXX and it always says that the install "was not successful" and it makes no sense to me. I have tried virtually everything in my power to fix this but still nothing. I'm surely not the only one who has installed busybox on the xt1080 so would anyone know what the problem here is?

are you rooted with pwmmymoto and are you booted into "recovery" so you can write to /system? Busybox gets installed in /system so I suspect you don't have the write protection bypassed so busybox can't install.

You sir, are a life saver. I never thought about that and now it successfully installed.
