I have noticed that when no one answers questions about hdmi, this is a great feature that you do not have to disposition in this rom. the question is, because it has been developed? or are not important?

This should show you everything you need to know on how to root the Atrix HD MB88.

OSE--Hands down the smoothest ROM I've installed on my phone.  Very nicely done...Thanks

Quick update: We have had reports of issues with Google play services and also swiping the keyboard causing a force close, so I have completely rebuilt our Gapps and have found no issues. I just uploaded the latest version so they should be available soon.

@dsc_cons
Fleeing the Link you provided, reading it and getting the gist, I stumbled across to different links by the same author.
Well one was a link he provided straying to utilize ROM manager + photon cwm.
Then I found

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

Which says I can use ROM manager and the cwm touch through the same method if I read it correctly. Once I do that I can follow the directions in the link I provided to install this ROM.
Is that right?
Is there a better method?
I still need to set up the proper PATH with to follow the link you provided.
I also have myth tool downloaded, buy needs to be set up. Some threads I have read require/suggest using that.
My problem so far is that I think I an either reading to much into it or getting confused by the over abundance of information. (rarely do I ever come across this issue)
I use to be an iPhone guy however, I can no longer stand them, I prefer Android however on stock ROM the Atrix HD seems to be lacking.

I tried that link but it never worked out for me, touch is paid for software, for some reason I couldn't get it to flash....this is all I did....

Download Motochopper/Motopocalypse.  This will unlock the bootloader and root your phone with super user with the click of a button.

You're rooted now...your phones open, use fastboot in Command prompt on your PC to load up CWM recovery file and you should be golden.

  I found this page after the motochopper root and this is all I've referenced to root my Atrix.

Good luck man....Welcome to the revolution

so did this, but im getting stuck on step 6 of

Install CWM Recovery by Epinter

  1. Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

  2. Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

  3. On stock rom, navigate to /system/etc and rename install-recovery.sh to install-recovery.sh.bak
  4. Reboot into fastboot -- use "adb reboot bootloader" from Terminal\Command Prompt
  5. Wipe the existing recovery -- "fastboot erase recovery" !
  6. Flash the recovery with "fastboot flash recovery cwmrecovery6028-xt925_20130219-epinter.img"
  7. That's it, CWM is installed.

it tells me that the:

variable is not supported. target reported max download size 31457280 bytes

error: cannot load  'cwmrecovery6028-xt925_20130219-epinter.img': no error

im sorry for being a noob. also i should probably stop hijacking this thread. apologies to the op.

vstar.....tried like three times before my root CWM finally flashed but this is the only thing I can think of that I did different and I left this step out...my bad

I started from the beginning which is to re-install fast boot which takes everything back to stock 4.1.1 with fast boot weather your JB or ICS.  If you're ATT MB88six(my six key is broke).

Download whatever xml fastboot file fits your phone.  Extract that file to the fast boot folder right click and open as a notepad document...it will look like this.  Delete the two lines "Getvar" files that I've highlighted, don't leave spaces, re-align everything back up after deleting the line, and then save as what ever name you want .xml.  Then use this "New" .xml as your foundation for fastboot and CWM recovery not the original you downloaded in step 1 of install stock fastboot.

 <steps interface="AP">
    <step operation="getvar" var="max-download-size" />
    <step operation="flash" partition="partition" filename="gpt_main0.bin" MD5="F36E6FB37E6BD0066FAF56688603DDD0" />
    <step operation="flash" partition="sbl1" filename="sbl1.mbn" MD5="3F91C106A878810B0AE8132F3FB8EACC" />
    <step operation="flash" partition="sbl2" filename="sbl2.mbn" MD5="6A4BF8E8480F3A14EB22A932314B430F" />
    <step operation="flash" partition="sbl3" filename="sbl3.mbn" MD5="AC66902C8721200A2FC08E485D4510D2" />
    <step operation="flash" partition="rpm" filename="rpm.mbn" MD5="919D0B340CFDD5FC7C541803DB65C2D6" />
    <step operation="flash" partition="tz" filename="tz.mbn" MD5="ED1C505E36E769CCF0BB3C10E46DD62B" />
    <step operation="flash" partition="aboot" filename="emmc_appsboot.mbn" MD5="15F98BAFB7C4853C2582465EEB7A3522" />
    <step operation="reboot-bootloader" />
    <step operation="oem" var="fb_mode_set" />
    <step operation="getvar" var="max-download-size" />

Install Stock Fastboots JB

  1. Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

  2. Extract the zip
  3. Open a terminal to the extracted zips directory
  4. Reboot into fastboot
  5. Type the following commands in this order
  6. fastboot flash boot boot.img
  7. fastboot flash devtree device_tree.bin
  8. fastboot erase system -w !
  9. fastboot flash system system.img
  10. fastboot -w
  11. fastboot erase cache !
  12. fastboot reboot

Install Stock Fastboots ICS

  1. Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

  2. Extract the zip
  3. Open a terminal to the extracted zips directory
  4. Reboot into fastboot
  5. Type the following commands in this order
  6. fastboot flash boot boot.img
  7. fastboot flash devtree device_tree.bin
  8. fastboot erase system -w !
  9. fastboot flash system system.img.ext4
  10. fastboot erase cache !
  11. fastboot -w
  12. fastboot reboot

Install Alternate Radio

  1. Reboot into fastboot
  2. fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin

NON-HLOS.bin is found inside a fastboot zip.

Don't forget to Install the Alternate Radio right after the fastboot install.

Download your CWM file...name it whatever you want .img and make sure its in the fastboot folder when using fastboot.

Hope this helps man....I've been using ROMS with G2 and G3 for years....I broke my G3 and a buddy gave this Atrix that performs great with the OSE ROM.  Way quicker, battery last, smooth as silk for me, no glitches.  Out of all the ROMS I've Downloaded for my Atrix this is the only one that has been pure and glitch free.  Rooting newer phones is much easier than this...I'll try to help you the best I can, but I'm rather new when it comes to the Atrix root myself.  Good luck.

I never did step #3 either....I rebooted into adb wiped the original recovery and then flashed the CWM recovery.  I also read along the line that you should open and run all the .exe files for fastboot before using it in command prompt on your pc.  So the fastboot folder you made on your pc with the .exe files in it....right click and run on you pc...you'll see a command prompt flash real quick.  Hope that makes sense.

So I tried flashing CM 11 on my atrix, which was already running CM 10.2. I absent-mindedly forgot a few things, and it got bricked.

I first tried flashing ATT-4.1.1 firmware with RSD lite 6.1.5, but that didn't work like the last time I bricked the phone. I'm guessing because it's impossible to downgrade firmware.

Then I tried flashing CM 10.2 and some roms from here, but they didn't have an XML file like the stock firmware does, so it won't work.

What should I do?

Your answer is right above.  Install fastboot on your Atrix and follow the steps.  I took mine from ProBam 4.3 back down to 4.1.1 using the method above and took it right back down to factory.  Been out of town for a couple weeks, sorry about the extended reply.  I'm not a big fan of RSD...Fastboot is like basic DOS, faster and more evasive...meaning you're totally re-programming the phone with fastboot where as RSD you're relying more so on the program.
