Switched to PA Gapps on the latest nightly, and storage isn't glitching out on me anymore. I'm pretty sure the Gapps made the difference and the ROM was fine all along.

Just to make sure, you are referring to sending, right? It seems receiving I've never noticed was broken, but I always have to send via Hangouts (not-MMS) for people to get my pics.

Note: I have not switched over to OSE yet. I have still been using a 11/8 (i believe) build of AOSP 4.4. I've been waiting for MMS to be 100% functional to update, since I have minimal issues on my current build I'm using (with applied fixes)

 

Thanks in advanced for your response. I'm happy our devices are seeing 4.4 so early that for me are DD worthy. Especially builds for 4.4.1 and 4.4.2.

prior to 12/15, if I created an MMS, it would not send.  After flashing 12/15, I received an MMS, and I was able to successfully respond.  in all fairness, I have not tried creating an MMS, but I'll do so later and report back.

I'm using 8sms or try chompSMS on 12/15 and it works perfectly. Give 'er a try if you Dont like using hangouts for SMS.(It seems like hangouts is really slow on SMS, but not group chat)

It seems that MMS (picture messaging) sending is still broken on Verizon via hangouts. I actually prefer hangouts.

 

I will try via another application for sending an MMS message.

UPDATE: Seems 8sms also fails to send MMS (picture message) on 12/15. "Invalid Destination Address"

 

Receiving MMS picture messages works fine. I have no issue and can respond, I can not however send a picture message. It fails. Though as far as I know this has been broken since 4.4 was ported to our devices. I have clean flashed for those wondering (wiping 3x everything including internal, data, cache, dalvik cache, system...)

Very weird. I can send MMS fine through the Hangout app. 12/09 build. Using Dalvik.

I have always used GoSMS and have never had issues with sending MMS. Try GoSMS and if it doesnt wotk still there is an option in advanced settings that WILL make it work. Go to MMS settings and change the APN to look like this and it WILL work. Only down side to this app is it has ads so use AdAway to get rid of them.

I'll give this a try, but it's the same settings that are there in other apps. (Though, I think some keep the port blank as well.) If I still can't get it to work, I'll just continue being patient and look forward to a build where hangouts is working without issue. :-)

Anyone tried out Google Wallet Tap & Pay? It doesn't work for me. Maybe kernel mods are needed for host card emulation?

I'm surprised 8sms doesn't work, its the only app that has worked for every ROM I've had problems with the MMS app it came with.
