The OC filles are for either a device with a 4 slot CPU, which can only overclock up to 1.2 comfortably, and then there is the 5 slot device which can go nuts on 1.3 or even higher if set right. If you boot up and use NoFrills CPU and your device boots up at 1.2 MHz then yours is a 5 slot device. If it boots up at 1.0 MHz then sadly can only go up to 1.2 MHz.

Sweet... then I MUST have a 5 slot since I'm usually at 1.2 by default on just about every ROM I've played with that had NoFrills or Tweakerz... I've wanted to push the clock up to 1.3 just to try it but as this is currently my only toy to play with, I've feared frying my CPU, plus not sure how to determine appropriate voltage either... I know that too much of one without adjusting the other, and u can fry a CPU quick, but my knowledge is from "back in the day" and focused on PCs. Any tips on OC'ing?
as usual, nobe answered the question nicely. Please, the only thing i want you to feel when asking a question here is curiosity. none of us were born with knowledge of android, so we all have had to ask questions too. in fact, we all still ask questions
Dang, lolli, u should be the poster child for open source and what makes it so flippin cool... not only can people tweak with their defices and unlock unthinkable advancements and improvements that the vendors often swear couldnt happen, but the desire to support and guide one another, even if its only to see if your efforts lead them to make something you'd like to have... that's just freakin' sweet! Try getting this kinda feedback and depth of support from a dev at Microsoft, or Cisco, even Apple... Not without your first-born on consignment! Keep up the good work, man!
So... when are you planning on pumping out a 4.3 or 4.4 ROM? LOL
