Really like this rom, but I'm having one problem with it. I've seen others mention issues with face unlock in this thread, and I too am not able to get it to work. It will appear to set up normally but when I try to unlock it stops and then reboots.

Best rom out there. Thanks for the hard work. I've had several rooted phones now, and so far this is the best rom to date between all previous rooted phones/roms

EmericanX,

Reported an issue but found it was already posted, no reason to clutter up the forums. Love the rom. Glad to see someone still actively developing for ICS. Exactly what I was looking for in a rom. Now if only I could find a way to automaticly accept secure pairing requests I would never need to reflash my phone again.

I'm not sure if this was covered or not, as I searched most of the thread. I'm currently on version 1.2 but when I update to 1.3, the transparency causes issues with pop up style menus. Instead of overlapping the current program, it just shows my background with the current menu on top of it. It isn't an issue with functionality but the cosmetic side is really bugging me. Is this intentional or is my phone not flashing right? Tried reflashing several times to no avail. Sorry, its hard to explain my problem effectively. Still the best rom, and I'll be buying you a beer here soon. :)

Not exactly sure what ur referring to, but to get rid of the transparency in 1.3, just copy the framework.res apk from 1.2 and paste it in the same folder on, 1.3 to overwrite it.

Instructions to remove some of the transparency.

Use the Simplex 1.2 and 1.3 zips.
Open both via 7zip. Navigate to and copy framework-res.apk from /system/framework/ from 1.2 to 1.3 replacing the updated framework. Reflash your modified Simplex1.3

Most of the transparency has to do with framework outside of some apps I had to modify for the effect.

crap, not sure what going on but i installed ss3 then let phone run completely dead then charged to full. only got 15hrs and batt dead. most of that was sb time. used to get 3days. is there no way to reset the battery stats now?

not i got message from phone saying damaged sd card, wth

after reboot and charging to about 5% the sd card seems to be fine. but not sure why batt drained so quickly. gonna charge to 100% and wipe caches and see what up.

EmericanX: off topic a bit, is there a way i can run this from the termnal emulator or make it into an app?

adb shell am broadcast -a com.motorola.intent.action.externaldisplaystate --ei hdmi 0 --ei hdcp 1

Hi. Thank you for your work on this. Question: Is Simplex already rooted? Do I just need to install SU?

whatevr...you were all noobs once.

jlowel....A ROM is customized experience for your phone. To have a ROM installed, you first need to root your phone.

Step 1:

Root your phone with a Droid Razr Utility (just search for a video on youtube)

Ste 2:

Install Safestrap version 2 on your phone (also search in youtube)
Safestrap is a tool that loads prior to the phone booting and gives you serious admin access, including installing a zip file from an sd card (which is how you will install this ROM)

Step 3:

Download this ROM (zip file). Put it on your SD card and install using Safestrap (after enabling safe mode first)

Step 4:

Buy Emerican a beer

Hey guys is there any way we could get a solid battery mod with stock data icons?
Thanks in advance.

Edit: Sorry I think I found it.
I guess I should read a little bit more thorough.

And awesome work on the rom. I love the transparency.

I cant sync it to my car's Bluetooth. Tried several times it just wont recognize it. Is there a work around?

I am running V1.3 and for some reason am also having trouble syncing to my Ford Edge bluetooth. It works fine on Stock ICS so I know the phone's and car's BT work, but does anyone know of a workaround or if it's working for everyone else? Thanks!

I kept trying it and it finally worked. For some reason, with this rom it only gives me three seconds to input my car's bluetooth code. I thought I was entering it and the pop up would disappear, but i had to enter it really quick and press OK. Very strange, but works great now.

One other question, I have Nova Prime. Is it possible to freeze or uninstall Apex and use Nova while using this rom, or is that not a good idea since the developer utilized Apex as the default launcher? I like Apex, but since I have the prime features on Nova, I like it just a little bit more.

You can use any launcher of your choice. Keep in mind if you freeze or remove apex pressing the launcher settings in settings will cause a fc. No biggie though. Install nova then press the home button. Select nova from there
