Outstanding! I do believe I found me a ROM that'll be my daily driver. Very impressive.
I found 1 tiny issue... definitely NOT a dealbreaker. I'm unable to select custom icons for apps when I try to select one. It only gives me options to select a picture from gallery, select picture and crop, or set to default. Anybody else having this issue?
Sent from the Titanic. I named my phone "The Titanic" so when I plug it into the computer it says "The Titanic is syncing".
Have you installed any Apex/Adw themes/icon packs? You'll have to install icon packs in order to go that direction.
YES SIMPLE IS BACK...LOVE THIS D** Rom.. only few issues.. sometimes reboots randomly when playing with Google now or when install a app..Wipe /date -wipe cache- wipe delv-format/system..reboot let its sit...rebooot again and still same thing
Haven't run into that.
Looks great but had to revert to 1.2. For some reason some of the links in google search/now will not open a browser when I click on them. Did research and can't find a fix. Any ideas?
Lol.. with 2 separate reports of issues with GNow... I will be looking into it. I can tell you that the search results will open to the browser on my phone. But I will take a look to see if anything stands out.

Loving it! Been waiting for an update. I've tried every rom out there and always come back to Simplex. Great job EmericanX. BTW, i flashed the simplex battery percentage from the last rom and it worked perfectly.
I flashed the Nexus Simplex battery Icon and it works great as well!!!

This is a known issue with Google Now on ICS ROMs. After some extensive experiments, I'm convinced that it has to do with the way your Google account is set up (not your fault by the way). Let me try to convey this as best I can. By default, a Google account is configured to open a search link in the current browser window. Let's say you google for "best dog foods" on your PC, when you click on one of the results, the content of that page can display either in that original browser tab/window, or it can display in a new window depending on how that web page is coded. Here's the problem: Google Now has difficulties opening links that cannot open in a separate browser tab. The android Google Now search screen is not a true browser. There's a setting in Google that you can modify. On a PC, go to , at the bottom of that screen, there should be a setting called "Open result in a new window" (or something similar, I'm going by memory here). Enable that setting, then save your new preferences. Reboot your droid phone. I found that many of the links that wouldn't bring up the browser before now will open for me. Again, it depends on how "standard" a web page is coded. Apparently, this issue is fixed in Jelly Bean because I do not have this problem with JB ROMs, only when Google Now is incorporated with ICS ROMs.
Even if you can't open a Google Now link directly, all is not lost. You can still open it from the preview screen. Click on the magnifying glass icon to the right of a link (I know Chrome has that magnifying glass, some other browsers may have the word "preview" for a link). From the preview window, that same link can be opened. So, it's one extra tap, but it works.
Lastly, if you notice, I used the term "Google Now" specifically over and over. I did that on purpose to point out that this is an issue between Google and a browser. Bing/Yahoo search engines do not have this problem.

I have been on Artic HD ever since it came out. I have tried almost every rom that comes out, and keep going back to Artic HD. But, this rom, that I've had on my phone since last night, blows Artic away. It's battery life is the best I've had on my phone. It has many more options, and its very smooth. Thanks for the awesome work! Any idea on what causes the fc when you click on details in the gallery yet?
Thanks man. I checked and I'm seeing the same result on the gallery so I will dig into it. As of right now I haven't even looked at why.

Are you running OC'd? running any task killers? Try out some of the different CPU modules. Unfortunately unless I'm seeing the issue on my device its hard to trouble shoot. But I can try to get you to place to work with it.

That sounds like a soft reboot. Could be any number of things really. Essentially think of it as the blue screen on windows.

its awesome you're digging and experimenting.. but I'd start with a "stock" script and move from there. I personally have scripts that are running 1400+ but they are randomly unstable. Which is why I released the rom with the cpu scripts that it has. They are stable for most devices.
