I did hear something back tonight I thought I'd share. My replacement laptop has been ordered and awaiting shipping! So the count down begins lol.

I also wanted to say thanks for all the positive feedback I've seen! Really people... thanks! As far as some of the new features I've seen requested... please do not take what I'm about to say as me blowing you off! But SimplexROM was started to be just that. A Simple modded stock based ROM with as little issues as possible! I'm one guy working on this... not an entire community such as CM or AOKP based ROMs. While I'd love to throw a bunch of feature bloated stuff out I'm still very much new to development. So every new feature brought to the table is a learning experience.

I am in no way saying Simplex will not be updated! When I receive my replacement laptop that will be priority #1... should it start to get to a point where I don't feel the features make up what I feel Simplex should be... it'll be branched into another project to itself.

Thanks again for the support and keep your fingers crossed for me that my laptop doesn't get lost in shipping! Lol..

Oh... BTW: as far as other projects go. Keep in mind I am part of DroidConcepts and keep in touch w/ DHacker... maybe we'll see a Kexec DroidConcepts build on the horizon... ;-)

I just want to give you a huge thanks again for the awesome ROM, EmericanX. As far as future feature additions, I like your current mindset better, as I've always been a Bugless Beast user (first on my OG Droid and currently on my Xoom), so I'm all about stock and stable. If I ever get some free time, I'm going to start working on a theme for this.

i have noticed what may be a bug. i have tried watching different video files using MX Player. usually cuz it does streaming video, but when watching a video file on the phone that was recorded with the camera app i notice that after a bit of time it will lock up and crash the whole phone. is works fine on the stock rom though. also if i use the stock video player, that works fine on normal and overclocked. i am trying to use the standard video app as much as possible since it just works and then use the MX Player only when needed. just wanted to let you know my experiences with it, in case there is a fix. i really don't want to go back to stock or any other rom cuz i like this one the best.

Hey man, Always run this and have gotten bored.so have pretty much.tried every rom out there bit.somehow.I get homesick and come crawling back lol! Great stability , great battery life. Can't ask for much more, the ONLY thing id like to.see is is.a.215 base. (Maybe an optional?) I know that it.seems to have a better browsing experience for.some reason? Has anyone else felt that in the browser alone? Doesn't matter which browser I use either weird I know. . Anyway great job man I really appreciate the hard work you've put into this.

I'd recommend pulling the browser out of the stock .215 (or whichever rom you've enjoyed using it in) and swap it out with the one in the simplex zip file.

On the topic of upgrading the base.. I've been out of the loop so I'm not sure what the official ota is lol.. but that's what this will probably stay or be upgraded to. I will take a look at the browser for 215 though and see if there's some advantage to it.

Just sort of a side not.. I did have a 215blur ROM almost ready to be released right before the incident. Lol.. but my replacement has supposedly shipped even though tracking doesn't show it.. I'm hoping at least mid next week.

your off the hook, lol. it seems this bug is not just MX Player but the standard video app as well. and i can reproduce with the same video on the fully stock .211 rom. must just be an ICS bug in the source with video playback.

see if others can reproduce this as well. i recorded a video with the camera app. not sure if was with the aosp one from eclipse or the blur one from this rom. anyways when you try to playback that video and skip forward and backwards through the video it usually begins to start to lag and just hang up. and the sound glitches. only thing you can do at that point to 3-button reboot the phone cuz it totally locks up.

well i am what you call a crack flasher something new comes out and i am like got to try it but i can say that when i was on this rom i had zero problems it always ran perfect great job on this emericanx i would give u a 2 high 5's if i could and maybe even a little hug probably not

well, while everyone else is posting about their issues, I thought I'd post mine, but they're very minimal.

While listening to music, pushing the power button to wake the phone and using the lock screen music controls, the touch screen is unresponsive for about 5 seconds. Also, the keyboard seems a bit laggy at times.

Like I said, very minimal, but I thought I'd put them out there.
