Was your phone plugged in while doing this??

Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2

destinydmm - First make sure you are not plugged in to a charger or PC.
What steps are you using to install the ROM?
Is Safe Recovery ENABLED??

Thanks for replies and help. No, phone wasn't plugged in - to wall or pc.
I enable SS. Turn off phone, press menu for recovery. Backup up stock rom. Enable safe mode. Wipe everything. Flash rom, reboot. Boot loop or nothing (sits at black screen) - I've waited for 30 min, to make sure it wasn't the rom loading up.

I've tried with every version of SS (2.0, 2.1, 2.10, 2.11)

So, just to be clear, you've installed SS from the non-safe side, correct? And you've installed the apk & from within the app, you've installed recovery, correct?
After backing up your non-safe side, are you toggling to safe mode?
Not trying to patronize, just trying to get a clear understanding of events.
Once you're on the safe side, it's probably a good idea to wipe data/cache/dalvik & format the system partition before flashing the rom. That's what always works for me.

This is the order you should do this because it looks like you left out a step.

1. Install Safestrap apk
2. Open safestrap app and install recovery
3. Reboot
4. Press Menu button to get into safestrap recovery
5. Backup stock system
6. Enable safe system
7. Format /system
8. Wipe data/factory reset
9. Wipe cache partition
10. Wipe dalvik cache
11. Flash ROM

It looks like you left out Step 7. Formatting /system is needed.

This rom is awesome, super fast and smooth. I just wanted to let you know that I noticed a small bug which is that my headset controls don't work when the screen is off. If the screen is on, even just at the lock screen I can play, pause, skip, etc. with my headset controls but when the screen is off the buttons don't do anything. Thanks!

<br />Have you ever had bootstrap installed? The 2 don't get along & just uninstalling the bootstrap apk doesn't fully get rid of it. There's a thread on here about completely removing bootstrap.

I don't know if this ever got answered before. Where can I find the default wallpaper for SimplexRom 1.2? I wanted to put a theme on but keep the stock wallpaper.

I think I am probably asking a dumb question. Are you trying to flash SimpleX onto a Galaxy Nexus? I noticed your signature on Tapatalk. This particular rom is for the Razr. Again I apologize if this is a dumb question.Edit: After looking a few posts back you did mention Razrs.

Easiest way is to simply pull it from framework-res... if not i can post it up

There is a script located in ~/system/bin/ entitled 'bugtogo.sh' that does a long of things to our device we do NOT want them doing. I higher suggest anyone running 215 or a ROM based off of 215 such as Arctic, Simplex (not sure if its stuck in there), use a Root file manager like Root Explorer to delete this script.

UPDATE: If you are a Bionic user check for this as well! Users report seeing it on 232 at the least. Also ANYONE on an ICS stock rom or 214 or even should check too.

The contents of the file can be found here:

Here are some tidbits...

# Forward info to the Bug2Go app
b2gam "start -a motorola.intent.action.BUG2GOLITE.END -t application/gzip \
-e path $storagePath/bugreport_$timestamp.txt.gz \
-e serial $serialNum \
-e timestamp $timestamp \
-e ap_version $apVersion \
-e bp_version $bpVersion \
-e product $product \
-e device $device \
-e build_type $buildType"

#Save the report info into a temporary file so that the APK can create
#report with the info in the file at any time it detects this file. The
#APK should remove this file once it creates a report for it.
#Parameters:
#save_path : the directory where to save the compressed log files
#files : the log files that should be included into this report, can be
# directories. separated by space if there are 2 or more files
#files_to_remove : the files that should be removed after the report is
# created, can be directories, separated by space if there are 2
# or more files

#put the attachments in a separated folder so that Bug2Go can handle it separately.
attachmentPath="$storagePath/screenshots"
b2glog d "Attachment path: $attachmentPath"
mkdirIfNotExist $attachmentPath
#capture the current screenshot
b2gscreencap "-p $attachmentPath/screenshot-$timestamp.png"
#Start the Bug2Go App
b2gam "start -a motorola.intent.action.BUG2GO.START -t text/plain -e id $timestamp"

If you do not want to be an unwilling bug tester for Motorola then remove this from your device. I am making sure any future releases of ROMs I am involved with will now not ship with this script. Please take care of yourselves!

I used Root Explorer. I moved the file to a folder I have on my sd-ext card. I rebooted and noticed that a popup said the sim card was not detected. Phone seems to be working though. Any ideas?

Wtf hahaha.

Also I just want to say my SMS seems to be crippled after deleting that file. I was texting my friend and he told me all my texts were coming at once like a delayed reaction or something.

Edit: Do NOT remove this file on SimplexROM! Data gets buggy and SMS stops working!
