For the gmail, etc. that aren't flashable do I need to uninstall the original gapp? Sorry for the noob questions, but I'm kinda confused by all this.

What are the possibilities of the Volume button Music Control being worked into this rom?
That's the only real reason I stay on aokp/cm9 builds as I listen to a ton of music.

Perhaps the dumbest question of all:

So I flashed this app, and the apps that I purchased that weren't free don't say purchased by them anymore. They say the price, and when i click on them, it gives me this error: Error retrieving information from server. [DF-BPA-21]. It's only happened for me on this rom. Anybody else? 2nd edit: Not the roms fault, something just went wrong.

I'll google this one out, but just letting ya know.

Wish you could view "unread" emails in corporate account.
Also am I missing something? Don't see ability to assign speed dial numbers to keypad. Great otherwise .

Haven't jumped into flashing my Maxx yet, had loads of fun doing that on my Nexus. I've seen a few flashlight toggle requests. I'd *love* to see a flashlight enabled by a long-press on the power button, especially on the lock screen. Doesn't sound like much, but that's an amazingly nifty and convenient feature.

The prerequisite blah blah...haven't flashed...but the rom must surely be awesome..There's a Motorola logo on the back of the phone that suspiciously looks a lot like a capacitive key. I would like for unicorn tears to pour out of the microphone hole every time I press that logo.

It made me laugh. I'm apparently not the only one who dislikes requests like that. "I don't use this ROM, but can you change it?" They're especially annoying when it's a requested change to a vital function of the phone. "Hey, y'know how you need to long-press the power button to turn off the phone? Think we can do away with that so that I can use an app that takes two seconds to access from the homescreen? Seems like too much effort for me to create a shortcut."

Wow. Was not my intent to offend. My old Nexus was easy to customize and had a wide range of mods. Before someone flames me for saying *that*, the Maxx happens to have a few things I happen to need like the ability to hold a signal and a great battery. I am looking at different ROMS but before I start flashing I was asking about a feature I, and apparently a lot of other people, happened to like. webeogher, sorry you don't like the power button to give you some options. Personally I found it useful, and in the aggregate a huge time savings, to have the option to reboot, power off, or whatever from the power button, especially if you have a lockscreen.

Had you actually stated what you wanted in a clear manner, which I assume now is flashlight controls in the power menu, rather than the way you originally worded it, which made it sound like you wanted the power button itself to control the flashlight, I likely would've responded quite differently. Forgive me if I've offended you in any way, but my biggest peeve is when people ask for the basic functions of a phone to be altered to suit something that they themselves may like. From your post that I've quoted, it seems as though you'd simply like something added, and not functionally changed, and since I initially asked for a reboot option in the power menu, I can hardly hold that against you. For future reference, if you're asking for a specific feature to be added, it helps if you've actually used the ROM you're making the request in, and it also helps to be very specific about what you want.
