Definitely try this rom. It seems like the fastest, smoothest Blur based ROM out there. And there's always the built in overclock

I downloaded this on a whim because I've been having lock-on issues with GPS for a few weeks now and that was one of the things that this ROM specifically said that it improved, and I'm incredibly impressed thus far. Everything is fast, smooth, and stable, and while it's too early to tell on battery life (I've only been running it for around 12 hours now, and 6 of that I was asleep and it was plugged in), it looks good thus far.

I'll be honest - I haven't really been impressed with some of the RAZR developers/ROMs to this point, but Simplex is definitely the cream of the crop that I've used. It's actually far better than the stock experience, which is something I haven't been able to say about any other ROM that I've used prior to this. If you're on the fence about this ROM, give it a try. And EmericanX, you can expect a donation from me probably by the time you read this. Thank you for making an already great experience (stock ICS on my RAZR) leaps and bounds better!

Edit: At the risk of sounding too fanboyish, if there was one request I'd like to see in future version of Simplex, it would be a "Reboot" option in the Shutdown menu. No need to include the non-working "Reboot Recovery" option that all the ICS beta roms had, especially since Safestrap allows that anyway. But a one-item wishlist for a ROM from someone who's been crackflashing since my Omnia days is still pretty damned impressive.

Its easy enough to install... lol.

I chose to leave it out. I may bring it in on the next build.

Anyone had any luck getting Google Now to work? I tried Mikeyxda's Version 6 and I can get the card to come up when I use voice search, but when I try to sign in to the Now app, it force closes, and then I get repeated FCs. I'll try a full wipe and re-install this evening.

one thing ive noticed is the lockscreen music control buttons where hard to push. it seems like only the top half of the button would work. not that big of a deal cause im getting used to where to push the buttons at. just thought i'd let you know so maybe you could look into it for the next update.

Thanks man! Good to see such great feedback filtering in..

As far as the reboot being incorporated that will happen! Right now I'm working on an inverted pack. Once its live I will move forward as far as new options or bug fixes.

I am aware of the issue.. I thought it was straight now but apparently not. Lol. I'm gonna take another stab at it.

Yes to the reboot option, although with the new cpu settings option you can reboot through there. It's not the same, but much better than manually doing it.

I use Rom Toolbox for rebooting. Once installed you can created a shortcut on your homepage to reboot.

I have no clue if anyone else is experiencing this problem, but while on the charger, with the screen on (it doesn't matter what I'm doing) the phone actually discharges. Does anyone know how to fix this? This is an excellent rom, I could get used to not playing with it while on the charger, but if I can fix it I will.

Does anyone know whats up?
Thanks in advance.

Have you tried a different charger? Sounds like the charger isn't strong enough to charge it with the screen on.

Well I have an OEM charger, but I think it's broken. We have 6 Razrs in our household(there was a sale when we got them) and it works just fine on the others' chargers.
I'll have to order a new one. Do you know of a good place to get one cheap? Thanks for your help!

I used an oem charger for a while and it began messing with my battery. I would wake up to a 75% charged battery or sometimes I would plug it in at 70% and within 15 minutes it would say fully charged. I highly recommend using an official charger. Oem could damage your phone as far as I'm concerned.

I would like to give this one a try. One feature I use more that I expected is HDMI out to stream video. Does HDMI out work on this ROM similar tot eh stock ROM?

Thanks for the advice.

Every device I've had that was LTE tends to show the same symptom you're talking about. I would have to say the screen is the biggest power hog! not following far behind is the LTE radio. So during charge with the screen on some chargers just cant keep up with demand so sometimes you'll notice one of three things. Slow charge, no charge, or slowly decreasing. My Bionic, Gnex, and Razr all have acted the same way! lol..

As far as chargers go. I would try to stick with OEM(original equipment manufacturer). Aftermarket chargers "can" cause havoc.

If you run into times when you need to use the phone while charging. I would adjust the screen brightness.. reduces running processes. You know the normal battery saving techniques.
