I installed the blur messaging app for group texting. Any way to have it replace the included mms.apk? I tried simply removing the mms.apk but then the lock screen up motion (to the texting app) restarts the phone.

Try freezing the stock app with titanium backup? I've read others doing it in some cases such as yours but I've never tried it myself.

I don't know about that suggestion. I really wouldn't use that feature. Maybe an optional flashable zip for it. Just my 2 cents.

Run it lol. But just turn GPS off and set syncing to the slowest time I think is 4 hours. I get about 12+ hours on my og RAZR with 2 hrs screen time.

+1 it is coded in via a smali edit. I'm going to look at the possibility of adjusting it. But as of right now it kinda is what it is.

If you want to use a different app here's my suggestion. Go into settings on mms and turn off notifications. That way the third party app will notify you on a missed text but if you need to send a quick message you have the option on the lock screen through mms.

The text will stay synced between the two apps and you'll eliminate double notifications. The Mms.apk is small so its not like you're loosing tons of space by still having it.

Lol. I was actually working on it.

I honestly never use it. With safe strap installed you have the chance to go into recovery every time you boot. If you're going to boot loader you're at a computer... "adb reboot-bootloader" ;-)

I feel its an option that's not really required but I do intend on implementing it.

How smooth is this rom? I recently switched from a verizon gnex running jb due to the poor antenna's in that phone. I love the razr maxx from a battery life and radio standpoint but it has been tough to adjust to the lag of the phone. I am currently running dualcore but searching for a smoother experience. I really like the moto messaging app (for group messaging) so it would be nice to be able to set that as a lockscreen option.
