Hotplug is a different governor that shuts down one core when not needed to conserve battery. Its not necessary, but it can help with battery life.

I've asked this question a couple of times in other threads, perhaps you might know the answer. What is the difference between the hotplug governor and the CPUsleeper app that many people seem to be using at the moment? It is my understanding that they perform the same function which is to turn off one core during times of low CPU usage. Wouldn't that make using both hotplug governor and the CPUsleeper app redundant? Thanks in advance.

CPU sleep turns off a core when the screen turns off, hotplug turns cores off when the CPU usage is low. Which could mean that the screen might be on when hotplug turns off a core.

Using both probably isn't bad, and it would turn a core off more often.

Morning,

Does HDMI out work on this ROM similar to the Stock version?

I've been running this ROM for almost 24 hours, it is extremely fast and smooth but I am having an issue. I cant seem to get any 4G signal at all (there's a excellent 4G signal around my area). I've tried using the LTE switch, airplane mode and no luck... any ideas??? :/

Try switching to GSM, screen should flicker & then switch back to CDMA Lte. That has worked with other Roms.

No problem. Just choose hotplug and set at boot. I use ROM Toolbox Pro though, but it should be the same

Maybe try wiping data, or wiping just cache and dalvik cache. I got good 4G data when I was running it.

That only applies for ROMs not based on Moto builds like CM9, AOKP and other AOSP ROMs

+1 this is built on the moto release so there should be no data issues.

Matter of fact the latest CM9 builds im finding solid as well.

To let everyone know I had no time this weekend. I'm on call right now and stayed slammed! I'll just say I'm working on roughly only an hour of sleep last night before I had to get up and start the regular week. Wish me luck that the rest of the week is quite! Lol.

Thank you for your response. I've got one more question. After I install the CPUsleep app, I click on start service twice like it says but then the app just closes (not a force close though). After the initial permission by Superuser it never grants CPUsleep permission again (whenever I turn on the screen) that I've seen. Could this mean that CPUsleep is not actually running? Thanks for your help.

You can use CPU Spy to see if and how long the phone has been in deep sleep

My apologies, I didn't realize it may be necessary on this rom since it is based on the .211 build. I'm sorry.

I am no genius. I just follow other's ideas & pass it on as only a suggestion. Glad you got data going.

Hello EmericanX,

I have a request. I have been having a lot of trouble trying to figure out how to make the blur camera compatible with aosp gallery. Could you either tell me how to patch it or give me permission to use yours??

Thanks a lot! Go Devs!
