Oh, another thing that probably isn't a bug, but a missing feature. In the notification power toggles, in most implementations, one can long press to go to the corresponding setting menu. (e.g. long press on the bluetooth toggle to go to the list of bluetooth devices). But that doesn't happen here. Just checking that there isn't a setting I can change to make this happen. If not, it would be great to see this in the next version, if it isn't too much work. Thanks!
Not a bug. Those implementations of the notification toggles were built on source. Different animal here.
As far as the others you noted.. while I didn't notice the same issues.. I will take a look once I get back onto Simplex. I'm currently working on a CM based build and a safe strap moto build for the bionic... so I'm kinda busy right now! Lol.. but I will get back to it soon.

Anyone having data issues in this ROM? I don't know if it's the ROM or some other issue but often times I have no data. Seems to happen randomly with no clear cause.

No data issues here. I get the occasional drop here and there but that's my service area - happens on all ROMs for me.

Safe mode = custom ROM
If you're trying to boot into safe mode and getting a black screen after the initial boot menu... something's not right.
In order to flash a custom ROM with safe strap first I recommend making a backup or you're unsafe side. Then enable safe mode. Once you have safe more enabled I typically wipe data/cache then flash the ROM. Once flashed you should be able to simply reboot system.

BTW people.. I'm gonna try to get an update out this weekend. I haven't had a whole lot of free time this week! And when I have I've been half dead. Lol. I'm working on a Chiller teardown at work right now. If you have no idea what that is. I've got a bunch of pieces to tear apart clean and put back together... each piece is roughly 1500 pounds or more... tack on 100°+ weather and I don't wanna think by the time I get home!

is there a special way to install safe strap 2.0 on ics version 4.04 i can get it to go in to safe mode but after the safe strap start up the screen just goes black then i have to power button and volume rocker down to get it to go back so i can get back into safe strap...... so then i go and disable safe system and then everything works great any ideas
If you have the phone plugged in either to the charger or your computer then safe strap will only boot to a black screen. Not sure why

As far as the original question... that sounds right! But before you boot you have to flash an alternate system/ROM.. have you?

Can you update the gapps from market with this ROM or is that not recommended like arctic?
Update all you want! Lol... I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to other then signature issues. All of the "core" apps have been signed together to eliminate signature mismatch failure. But Gapps or anything that you would update via the market are not. signing them would lead to update fail.

Hotplug is a different governor that shuts down one core when not needed to conserve battery. Its not necessary, but it can help with battery life. Can someone explain the whole SETCPU hotplug deal? Is it necessary to install it on this ROM?
