someone brought this to my attention, and I'm not sure if folks were aware of this:
since my device is already unlocked, I don't need to pursue it. however, perhaps someone with a locked device could see if this works.
now, this could be old, and perhaps the latest OTA blocked this. but our M is on the list.
who's ready to go first?

Asked the Live Chat about this, only works for Dev. devices. Pretty much useless I should say.
If this is the case, everyone would have unlocked bootloader by now.
I don't know what I'm doing anymore.....

There are devices on some select carriers that are allowed to unlock this way without being developer editions.Asked the Live Chat about this, only works for Dev. devices. Pretty much useless I should say.
If this is the case, everyone would have unlocked bootloader by now.

There are devices on some select carriers that are allowed to unlock this way without being developer editions.
for instance the htc one is able to be unlocked with their unlock non dev device so it may work i cant try as i unlocked mine ages ago as i am running slimkat 4.4.2 on my M right now

If you are on the latest update, you are stuck - if not, go
and follow the instructions for the M XT907.

My device on jb 4.1.2, I checked update and I got the message : your device up to date.
Then you are unable to unlock at this point.
