Hi , I am in ICS now , it was pretty smooth ... thanks. Just have one query , Need to goto BP Tool (Vol Up+Down+Power , choose BP Tool) i.e. diagnostic mode but it never goes there ... It shows Moto logo for few seconds and then perform normal booting to the system. Tried multiple times but no luck ...

When you select bp tool, you'll boot up as usual and not into a diagnostic screen. You did it right.

to the T on my Maxx, and still get error when trying to update. Flashed back to 181 and this time staying until I get the official ICS update.

Sorry Guys I forgot to update...but the install went without a hitch; the utility was not working because it wa snot on the desktop..

Thanks! I am having an issue though. When I select number 1 and do ap boot then press enter it is giving me "the system cannot find the path specified. Anyone else have this issue and work through it?

I got the 6.16.211 Update to ICS 4.0.4 for my Razr, yesterday morning, but I have friends with the razr and they does not got it, anybody knows how thats work, they are jellying me so much... also if I install the stock 6.12.181 will I get again the update to ICS?

I didnt have an issue like that but make sure Utility is on the Desktop,than put it in fast boot and than turn on the utility, and try... Also try the chat room, people will be happy to walk you through it.

From what I understand, Verizon just emails a person that they willbe getting and update and they get ICS like a beta test to see how users fair. And yea, but why would you do that?

Is there a way to undo it? I used the utility and everything worked flawlessly. I want to go back to GB if possible and put off ICS as long as I can. I'm not rooted and have a Razr maxx. Thanks in advance for the help:)

Sorry man, you're on ICS for the duration now. There is currently no going back to GB, and I don't think there ever will be. Don't worry though, JB is just around the corner.

Alright fellas...I need a little bit of help.

I took the ICS OTA last night. I was previously rooted using Batman's utility. Installed OTA Rootkeeper, created the backup, but Rootkeeper said it was able to restore SU, but it seems to not be the case (even after a reboot) Superuser.apk is still installed and "su" is still located within /system/bin

I downloaded v1.7 of the utility...installed the included drivers, put the device in USB debugging, tried mass storage mode AND Media device (MTP)....connected it to my PC and ran the utility. I selected Option 3 for ICS 4.0.4 root...but ADB never finds my phone. It just hangs out at "Waiting for device." I'm running Windows 7 x64

Any help/direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Anyone else having problems with this latest leak/ota? Wife's phone is going nuts after a few days on it. Browser randomly closes and home screen takes and eternity to redraw. Also notifications aren't showing up like texts in the notification area.

Are there fastboot files so I can start from scratch or what?

You probably just need to install busybox.

There are no fastboot files for .211 yet. You should try clearing cache and dalvik cache and see if that helps.

Our fastboot files are matts utility for now. Just reinstall it with his utility

You probably just need to install busybox.

busybox is still listed within /system/xbin but not /system/bin

Do you still think it'd be a busybox issue?

Can't hurt to try. Download jrummy's or stericsons busybox installer from the market and update everything.

I had to wipe data and cache. Then all sped up. But I was modded prior. I did notice it takes a bit to settle. Maybe a reboot first to see if that helps...

Well come to find out that the ADB Interface DOES not show up within the Device Manager whenever the Razr is connected to my Windows based machine. This interface does show up for my previous moto devices (Bionic, Droid X) just fine as soon as they are attached using the same cable/same USB port. I now know its NOT the drivers or the USB port/cable. It seems as if even though USB debugging is set to be enabled, it seems as if it not actually on. When I toggle USB debugging, Windows recognizes a change as it does make an audible tone and the MotoCast nonsense pops up....so I'm kind of at a loss.

ADB shell for my previous devices generate a response, while the Razr just gives a "device not found" error. Anyone have any suggestions based on that info?
