Run Option 1.
Reboot into Recovery and install the 211 update.
????

Did this last night... No Problems, No Hiccups just nice cool ICS!

I have USB bugging enabled and connected as a media device. I have installed the updated drivers and unzipped the files but it hangs at "waiting to connect" when trying to run the 4.04 root. I received my 4.04 OTA. What is going on?

Hello!

I just got my RAZR yesterday after upgrading from the issue-laden Bionic. I cannot thank you enough for this! I forgot to wipe cache the first time and it failed, but second time I wiped cache and data and worked like a charm! Thank you thank you thank you! I'm about as impatient as they come and I love that I was able to get this the day after I got my phone - you rock!

Yehaw, zalwii, okie dookie, yesar I am now on ICS. The past week I've tired 6 times to get .211 on my maxx only to run into sideload errors. 1.7 utiltiy did the trick. Of course I wiped data 3 times and wiped cache 3 times and was waiting for the the sideload error as usual...but guess what...I'm now on ICS. Thanks Batman, and to all that contributed on this site. I now do not have to wait until tomorrow to run ICS. (I'm a very impatient guy you see).
One happy camper here. I'm glad I gave Batman beer money last night, maybe good Karma came my way.

I'm on .211 but now when I try to connect for a #3 root it just hangs at waiting for device. Any ideas? I'm in debugging already and have the latest drivers. HELP!

Is anyone else having an issue with it once installed? For some reason my phone wont lock, i cant get the home button to work, and i am having other various issues and weird behaviors.

yeah you can skip using the utility all together and wait for the OTA next week lol

I doubt they'll be waiting til next week. One of my closest friends got his OTA first thing this morning. In my previous experience, OTAs tend to be random and region never makes a difference but, in case someone is curious, he's on rooted stock and we're in east central Georgia

Some people have had to try this part 4 times before it goes thru. Just Reboot and try again I had to do it 2 times. Wipe Data second time did the trick...

I think maybe you tried this in Fastboot, did not work for me. Reboot your device and go to developers options and toggle usb debugging. Then plug in yer phone and just open 1.7 and go to option 3 and ...pesto, ROOTED. No need for Fastboot at least for me. Just keep the phone on waiting for Pam to call, or maybe Susan and run option 3 with 1.7.

Had this same issue lastnight. go to settings and do a factory data reset. Fixes it all. From my experience
