Alright I updated mine... I used titanium backup to restore data for my apps but it says failed when trying to restore the app, but I don't mind reinstalling them all manually from the market...

I'm rooted on .181. Is the utility the only way to apply this ota update? I've read elsewhere that putting the blur_version...zip in the /cache folder and then either checking for update or using ROM Manager will work. Is this accurate?

Thanks in advance!

And I dont know whats wrong, im stuck at the moto logo on startup so I dont know if im bricked. but i can boot into recovery and go into ap fastboot mode but when i try to use option 2 on your utility it doesnt do anything, it just says "the system cannot find the path specified" and yes it is plugged in, the phone is unrooted and before i did this i factory reset my phone and cleared my cache. Go to the chat room for some help. I'm out and about taking a vacation from support today.

Ok so I'm really new to this so sorry if i sound noobish but how would i go about going from the stock 6.12.181 to the .211 leak and not have to wipe my memory? if someone could like give me a step by step guide that would be great.
Thanks!

I just went from bone stock to it, It was pretty easy.

I did have to do a data reset from the Recovery menue before it would do the update, but thats ok. I would have done it after the install anyway.

bascily
Mount you phone as a storage device. one of the drives that shows up will have a few folders in it, DCIM will be one. it will be the MICRO SD of your phone
copy the Blur_Version.6.12.181.XT912.Verizon.en.US.zip onto it
next power your phone down
boot on your phone while pressing both volume buttons at the same time
run the exe that Matt made and follow instructions provided.

Just clarifying: I have to put ti into the recovery mode or whatever with the volume and power button combo before i run the option 1 on the exe?

I hope I can help for those that think you are bricked and have no battery left. I was in the same boat but in order to get recovery I had Vol+ Down for quite a bit maybe 40 sec. Here was the catch, if I continued to depress the power button plus V0l+ and Vol- I get the black screen The trick is to release power and depress Vol+ & Vol- when it shuts down. From there you can get to recovery etc.
I was getting the sidebar status (0) error and this method got me back to reinstall 181 using 1.6 utility. I'm not sure if that will work with 1.7 but it should. I should note that this is what I did last week. Right now I'm on the fence trying to get ICS as I'm still on .181 all is working fine but my little devil on my left shoulder keeps saying flash ICS, flash ICS, flash ics. Damm little devil, but my right shoulder keeps saying "wait until tomorrow" as ICS is going to be on OTA... :P
