no it doesn't, I just had to revert back to 181 using 1.6 because for some reason my recovery just wouldn't work after I pushed everything to the phone in 1.7 option 1

it seems to have only certain files from the actual fastboot 181....system preinstall radio ect....probably only the needed files.

well batman thank you i got ICS up and running and all looks ok BUT idk if others are having these problems but this is what im experiencing:

when first rebooted a sign popped up and said something in the lines of gapps shut down or something like that so i then restarted the phone

when booted up again all went perfect until i pressed the HOME button...for some reason the home button doesnt want to work..it still vibrates after pressing it but does not take me home...menu button and back button work perfect but home button and search button are not working at all...

i then pushed the power button to make phone go to sleep when pushing power button again the phone DID NOT go to lock screen it simply just turned the phone back on..i even waited for 2-3 minutes and still the phone didnt go into lock screen.

other than these problems everything looks good..is anyone else having these problems? if so how did you fix it? thanks in advance

i had a similar problem (message saying gapps stopped during the 1st reboot, home screen frozen), once i got 211 to flash.

i went back into Recovery and did a factory reset.

appears to be working though the launcher seems to be crashing with some regularity while re-downloading all of my apps from the Play Store

Thanks for the great tool, Matt! I used this to move my wife's unrooted stock GB Maxx to ICS today and it was flawless. I did wipe data (per the instructions) and cache before the 211 install.

I don't know if this will help anyone, but before I installed 211, I did a number 9. The update went without any problems.

Do I even need this fine utility app if already rooted and have a the newest stock rom? Can I just update from the sd card where I have the new ICS zip rom?

I also have Voodoo OTA back up of root. Unless that gets hosed with the ICS update. Then I WILL need this fine utility 1.7.

Update, nevermind. Looks like th process is more involved than I want to mess with. I will be trading the Razr in at Best Buy for the SG3 by first week of July anyway. I will wait for the OTA update.

Install the drivers that come with the utility.

On a system with a flash failure, what do you recommend if the drivers are installed but the utility still says <waiting for device> ?

Flawlessly installed 211 over 206. Zero issues with the 1.7 utility and rooted! Now going through the painful process of putting everything back the way it was, lol.

I am a little curious, and had to sign up to ask some questions before I undertake this adventure. Being like the rest of you, my patience is/has worn out for ICS, and now I find myself downloading Matt's utility and the update. I want to give this a try, but have had real crap experience in the past with things of this nature (my Droid x2, Droid 2 Global, and Samsung Fascinate all got bricked). Is this as "point and click" as everyone is making it sound? Or is this something that can be buggered up rather easily?

Thanks for the utility! nice job! The install went fairly well (though I had a few "cockpit" errors along the way like a few others did) & came up in ICS, but I have a couple of problems at the moment. After the update, the "Home" & Search" aren't working, and there seems to be a few other things missing (like setting up the keyboard) . I'm going to try going through the process again & reinstall to see if it clears things up.....

UPDATE: After going through the install again - everything appears to be fine. I must have Fat-Fingered something the first time through. I'm surprised it's now re-installing all the software I had previously & adding them to ICS!! A no-brainer install....

Reboot the phone and put it into AP Fastboot yourself.

For anyone having issues make sure you're using a USB 2.0 port ... I had nothing but errors and failures when it was hooked up in my USB 3.0, but when I changed ports, it worked perfectly.

I am running 2.3.6 with go launcher with a 5x5 grid and 3 screens full of icons from a go launcher theme. Will everything be and look the same after the ics update? Also will the the voodo root keeper work and will the wifi tether 3.1 beta 14 work afterwards as well. Thanks.

Thanks OP got root no problem. does this utility do a clean install of 211 if you are already on 211?
