27 hours at 39% battery life left on Razr OG.

I just left data off and turned it on to check email about once an hour, and used google maps for a bit. I also had it under clocked to 300-800. I was happy with it.

I only get 10 hours of battery life with this rom. At first I wasnt. Installed my apps again using mybackup and battery life went to crap. Thought it was golauncher, unistalled that and my battery drain fast. Im at work from 8-4 and i rarley use my phone and its still draining by the time i get out. i thought it was the 4g network so i turned off mobile data, still drain fast

Also before my phone battery dies, it tries to call my voice everytime, weird

I dont know what could be draining the battery but Im going to try a diffrent rom and see how it goes

Keep it, especially if you have apps that go by that ID , namely licensed apps.

Have you wiped data/factory reset/ format system/ wipe delvick? And then install?

Have you looked at your battery stats to see what is draining the battery the most?

Oh boy this is gonna be fun. So I'll give it my best shot
1. Take the .181 ota update. Which may actually turn out to be the ICS update by now. I really don't know how motor puts out their updates, if they are sequential, you'll have to take them one at a time.

2. Once you are on ICS system version .211. You need to install the safestrap recovery system so you can flash custom Roms. You'll find the links in the Development section on this site. Be sure to read over all the information carefully before you begin.

3. Install Droid Razr utility version 1.81, which is also in the development section. This will have all you need to root your phone, and then allow you to use the safestrap recovery system.

4. Read...read...and read some more before you begin your quest. All of your questions have been answered many, many times before.

5. If you need help, don't be afraid to ask. There are many great people on this site to help you out. Once you get the basics down, you'll become a "Crackflasher" just like the rest of us. Have a great day, and happy flashing :-)

ICS OTA is 211. You can't get the OTA if you're on a custom rom.

You'll need to use a utility to upgrade by going back to stock (211)

.

You can get to 181 if you want to stay on GB tho by using an older utility.

The easiest way would be fast boot with Matt's Utility 1.6 to get you on stock GB. Take OTA to .211 ICS. Root, Safe strap, ROM.

Actually, it's easier to go straight to 211 since we have the fastboot files

I was wondering the same thing...been running 1.2 since release and have not even bothered to flash anything else, but I'm itching for something new :-) Thanks for the great ROMs!

Yes I knew that...didn't know you could fastboot to ICS from GB though.

Correct. you cannot use Matts 1.8/1.81 to upgrade from GB to ICS as it does not write the CDT.bin. You should however be able to use Matt's 1.7 to "prepare" for upgrade, and the sideload .211 thru stock recovery. I *believe* RSD will work to upgrade using the .211 fastboot(firmware) files also. Before trying RSD, it may be a good idea to jump into the chatroom and ask the experts.

Is there a way to install the stock camera? Whatever camera is on this ROM crashes about 50% of the time for me, no matter how many times I flash and refalsh. Never had an issue with the stock camera on 1.1

So wouldn't it be the easiest to just fastboot with 1.6 then OTA to .211?

It would, but(last i knew) the links for 1.6 are down, and Matt has stated that he doesn't plan on putting them back up, as 1.7 will do the trick.

Fair enough. Used 1.6 for a while then skipped to 1.8 so never got a feel for 1.7 lol.
