Does anybody know if, or how to port this rom to a droid 4?

I know the x and 2 roms were almost interchangeable, minus keyboard lighting and such. Is this the same for the RAZR and 4?

. Also, is there a way to add back the in case of emergency setting back in the contact list?
It was in 1.0 then disappeared

for the millionth time you can replace the camera app with the modified blur camera app found in simplexrom and it will work with aosp gallery

so i did this and it works, thx. have a ? though having some probs with the gallery now. when i delete stuff from the sdcard or add .nomedia file to folder so that gallery doesn't display this stuff it still keeps it there or i puts in a black tile. i have cleared data, cache on the app and rebooted a couple of times trying to fix. is there anyway to force it to rebuild itself correctly? why it doen't do this automatically when stuff is removed. seems like the app has a bug that google need to fix. and if i go into a folder and it shows the thumbnails then go out and back in it will sometimes show empty black thumbnails instead. why it doing this?

i'm even trying going into recovery and wiping cache/dalviche cache to see if that does anything.

well everything i've tried fixes the problem but only for one use. as soon as you go back out an in to the gallery app again it's screwed up. and can't display the thumbnails.

Hmm, so the contactice.apk is still in system/app... it just doesn't work. At least for me.

Ok so just got eclipse installed running .215 kernel, and I can update my facebook status with no issue. Did you wipe /data and cache/ when you installed all of this?
Here is what I did, I was on eclipse already but on .211
I used Matt's utility to restore back to stock .211
rooted using Matt's utility
booted into .211 installed voodoo, backed up root temp unrooted
flashed .215 in stock moto recovery
booted into .215 and re-rooted with voodoo
flashed safestrap, installed safestrap
booted into safestrap
enabled safesystem
wiped data cache and dalvik cache
actually went into mounts and storage and formated /system and /cache (dont think this is necessary)
installed eclipse
dl facebook, status update, great success.

only thing i think i didnt do was format system/cache. i did restore apps from TiBu though. maybe i'll give the whole phone a good wipe tonight after work

hmmm sounds very wierd. I don't have that issue at all. Try reflashing v1.2 but before you flash replace the camera (I use WinRAR) and make sure you wipe data, cache, and dalvik.

Having pictures from both the blur camera and AOSP camera will cause gallery issues. Andlaw identified this issue in the Black Widow threads and so far i agree with his findings.

So you deleted the Eclipse camera.apk from the zip file, drag and dropped the BlurCamera from the latest SimplexROM into the Eclipse zip file, then flashed the ROM, correct?

that's exactly what i did, it works but i still have gallery issues. i think it's what mechatricity said about blur camera and AOSP camera will cause gallery issues. i gonna copy all to pc for backup and start fresh and see how it goes.

UPDATE: after putting the blurcamera.apk in the rom and flashing, actually all worked perfect. the issues i thought i had were due to files being bad and messing things up. so i would say put it in the rom and wipe all caches and such and flash it. good to go here and luvin it.

thx, nitro for another great release.

Oh, nitro,

congrats on the release of 1.2!

it reminds me of a breakfast cereal:
snap, crackle, pop! ICS Krispy!

the stuff that had some lag is now quite fluid,
& get a load of this- even w/more than 130 apps that I restored,
I still got a Quadrant score of 3105!
and that was before freezing the bloat & getting rid of other stuff.

Ya gotta believe! seeker

Sounds like the way to go is with the new blur camera and gallery. I like AOSP also, but I prefer things to work properly over speed. Could this change be made to the rom?

Hey bub, I'm not finished with you yet..... SKNIT!!

I was wondering that also, skipping restoring my apps n stuff would be nice.

I don't think you will ever reach a concensus there. I'm a big fan of the aosp camera. I love panorama mode and it just so much more usable in the aosp camera. But android is all about choice :-)

Skipping would probably be a bad idea since his change log says he updated a few system apps. It is now based on moto .211 ota so probably definitely needs a wipe. Don't be sad tho, a fresh wipe is always good to speed things back up a bit.

I was on 1.2 RC1 from Nitro's twitter and I installed with no data wipe and everything is fine. I'm not sure about going from 1.1 to 1.2 on Nitro can confirm that. If anyone is currently on release candidate 1, you can install with no wipe.

I didn't think there was a difference between the twitter release and this one
