i don't really like the camera app that's installed on the eclipse. is ics+ camera any better? i think what bugs me the most is the giant blacked out shutter area to the right of the screen and the fact that we can't silence the shutter sound. also, what version is the ics+ app you use? 1.2.1b?
edit: also, since there's a 1.1 version of eclipse releasing today that requires a data wipe i was just wondering.. how do we go about flashing to the new version while removing 1.0? is the process still the same as when flashing the first time? i know you can have multiple roms installed on the phone but i just wanted to keep the latest version and the stock rom on the non-safe side. sorry if this is a noob question but this will be my first update to a custom rom so i wanted to be clear on how to go about doing it.

Sorry buddy. No update without wipe. Not yet. Same boat for all of us.
so when we do the update from 1.0 to 1.1 we go through the same steps as when we first installed the custom rom? i.e., boot to safe system, toggle safe side, wipe, format, install from zip?

Basically thats it, wipe everything and format system. Clean slate!!!so when we do the update from 1.0 to 1.1 we go through the same steps as when we first installed the custom rom? i.e., boot to safe system, toggle safe side, wipe, format, install from zip?

So basically, boot in to recovery, wipe data/facotory reset, flash the update, done. Yeah?
Yes....anytime a dev says you'll have to wipe data, it doesn't mean starting all over. If you're on safestrap and a custom rom then you're already on the safe side. Just boot into recovery, wipe data/factory reset, wipe dalvik cache (found in advanced menu) and wipe cache partition. Then just flash the new rom/zip and boot up normally.
Same would apply if you were going from one rom, say Eclipse, to a completely different rom by a different dev, such as Arctic.
Nightlies are different however, where a new build is released every 24 hours or so. These you just flash right over the top of the last rom/nightly build you were on.
Regardless though, most devs here and other places are damn good at putting in their OP the EXACT instructions on what to do regarding flashing a new rom or an update. Follow them precisely and there should be no major problems.

Wipe Cache and Dalvik? I didn't do that when installing the ROM for the first time and neither did the guy in the video I watched. I normally do when flashing a ROM but the OP said Wipe Data so I assumed just to wipe Data.

Its not always needed cause sometimes the rom will do it for you. But do it anyways, it never hurts.Wipe Cache and Dalvik? 1.1 is ready to go and requires a data wipe. I have a baby in my hands at the moment but it shall get uploaded sooner or later tonight. New lockscreen, camera, wake lock issue resolved, and many performance improvements as well as some little fixes.
