It seems that nobody has figured out how to update 211 without wiping data. VW shoud do it with their 1st update after 211 OTA so we can learn from them. Until then let's wipe this mf..

I've never had a problem with TiBu. It's pretty darned reliable if you ask me as long as you follow the rules, which there is only one: don't use it to backup system data and apps and try and restore them across different ROMs. Heck, I don't even backup the system apps, just the user apps and it's always worked fine for me.

Big+1 for TiBu. Use it for all user apps and data and it will work great for ya!

Can you tell the rest of us the right way? As much as I love Eclipse, this battery life problem is about to drive me away.

Download "Battery Calibration" from the Store and install, drain your battery until it shuts down, charge until 100% then leave it on charge for an hour or so after it reaches 100%, Calibrate the battery using the App., cycle it again, calibrate again. I get up to 30 hrs. on a full charge heres the proof. Post back with your results!!! Hope this helps

Drains approx. 3-3.5% per hr..
This is a Maxx!!

Also check all of your user apps and turn off notifications for those. Don't use widgets like clock or weather widgets that pole data. Have only one home launcher app installed at a time. Even though you may only be using one the second one is still running in the background. Don't use task killers or apps like juice defender. Keep Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned off when not using them. I also do not use auto brightness. I set screen brightness about halfway and it's good enough to see.

Hey all I just wanted to confirm, that the stock built in wireless and wired tether with SQL Hack are working beautifully. I stated yesterday that my iPad would not stay connected to it,like it was being disconnected. I found my friends iPad stayed connected and streaming content for an hour.. Restored iPad, and am connected now for over 30 mins. LOVE THIS ROM...battery drain is kind of noticeable, even on my Maxx, but I saw where Nitro will be updating tomorrow...Cant wait..Best rom out there, and I've tried them all.

It's hit & miss with that app. Some swear by it, others like me don't see any change or see a drop in battery with it. Gonna hafta try it & see.

you can use 2x battery to toggle your data/sync and increase fetch time for data. its a little simillar to battery manager from eclipse gb rom.

Today's the day....can't wait to read/see the changelog on 1.1. I had some bad drain last night while I was asleep. And that was after I properly used the Battery Calibration app and deleted the regular camera and used ICS Camera +.

Going to check my logcat here in a bit and see if it was having trouble going to deep sleep.

i don't really like the camera app that's installed on the eclipse. is ics+ camera any better? i think what bugs me the most is the giant blacked out shutter area to the right of the screen and the fact that we can't silence the shutter sound. also, what version is the ics+ app you use? 1.2.1b?

edit: also, since there's a 1.1 version of eclipse releasing today that requires a data wipe i was just wondering.. how do we go about flashing to the new version while removing 1.0? is the process still the same as when flashing the first time? i know you can have multiple roms installed on the phone but i just wanted to keep the latest version and the stock rom on the non-safe side. sorry if this is a noob question but this will be my first update to a custom rom so i wanted to be clear on how to go about doing it.
