What is the FXZ filename you downloaded?  Yes, I can see the files are there, but, it failed to flash one.  Sooooo, that's bad.  It's a large file so that usually indicates a usb port/usb cable/usb driver problem.

Yea, well, your flashing didn't go so well.  I'd try to do it with my RSD Flasher utility and RSD Lite and see if it makes any difference.  If not, don't know what to tell you.

Yeah, never never flash firmware for another device. It never ends well. System is the largest file and always takes a while to flash. If it sticks, usually that's an indicator of a cable/usb issue our using an older version of rsd, but you were using hom. If it sticks like that, trying a different cable or usb port, or using Sam's rsd flasher is the first thing I'd try.

Usually Sam is correct......if youre stuck at a Black Screen, the fix for that is hold both volumes and then press and hold power for 8 seconds. if the screen flashes, release power for 1 second and then press power again and that should put you into fastboot mode........assuming that you arent bricked yet.....

cant hurt to try....

I'm a little late to the party but... After a lot of fiddling and frustration I finally have my Rooted 98.16.3.XT907, upgraded to KK rooted and UNLOCKED. Yea!

Tried many times in the past with a borrowed Windows laptop with many fails. Never quite understood the process. So I finally tried a manual flash one file at a time on my Linux desktop and everything went smoothly.

Thanks to everbody for all their hard work.

So now what... I want to flash a rom but would like a reccomendation as to which one to try.

This is not the thread for roms.  There are threads out there so do a search in your device's forum section.

Hi SamuriHL - When working through your directions posted above I noticed that if I put the .zip file in the House of Moto directory and then tried to generate the script I received an error.  I did have the output directory set up as instructed above.  I then took the .zip file and moved it to another directory (my output directory) and the script generator worked fine.  No big deal as I am a total n00b and probably shouldn't have placed the .zip file in the HOM directory.

Something is seriously off with that FXZ_1 dir.  Look at the system.img file.  0 bytes?  Um, no.  So that's not good.

OK.  Deleted all files from the FXZ folder.  Ran the script again.  The .zip file was still in the destination folder.  Below is the log file.  Now I see the root folder as having 0 bytes.  Is that normal?

Yes, but, you need to extract the support file to your FXZ directory again else it'll not work.
