Nice work. Noticed that when I ran the Script Generator, it only produced .bat files? So, is it smart now to determine whether I need .bat or shell scripts (for Linux and Mac) so it will only generate the .sh scripts when I'm under Linux?

Nice work so far!

Ye noticed that did ye?  ;)

Flash the proper fxz. And note that the site hosting them is not mine.

I have tried the FXZ which is supposed to be the right one.  As you can see in my sceenshot, I was on FXZ_VZW_XT926_4.1.2_9.8.1Q_62_VQW_MR-2_VQW_CFC.xml and I have tried to load that one several times now with the results described.  Any suggestions beyond that would be greatly appreciated!

I understand you didn't post the fxz files, i was just loosely using the word 'you', apologies.;-)

You will always end up with that "INVALID IMAGE SIZE FOR PARTITION TZ" because somewhere down this path it got updated and the TZ partition cannot be downgraded. If you FXZed the Blur_Version.9.30.1.XT926.Versizon.en.US.XML then that would be the farthest that the TZ can get updated to on 4.1.2. What are you trying to accomplish? Are you trying to get back onto the up-gradable path for 4.4.2? If so then just use the 9.30 xml to get you there with the Keep Data script then take the OTA jump to 4.4.2.

It's telling you it's the wrong version. That is what the error is.

OK I got a question. If I'm running android 4.4.2 and have an unlocked bootloader, can I use this to downgrade back down to 4.1.2?

Thanks. One last question. Sorry I'm new to all of this. When I downgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.1.2 does this also downgrade the bootloader? And if it does, will that mean the bootloader will be locked? And does it matter which build number of 4.1.2 I downgrade to?

It will downgrade the bootloader. You cannot relock your bootloader, so you'll never have to worry about that even if you take a Motorola OTA. And it doesn't really matter build number.

Ok thanks. If I'm rooted on 4.4.2 and downgrade to 4.1.2 will I still be rooted? Sorry its probably a stupid question.

NO.... You will need to regain root access with TWRP. Thats why I made FlashBack. So one that is unlocked wouldn't have to fastboot twice when downgrading.

Or you could just replace the recovery img in the FXZ with the proper twrp img. ;)

Hey SamuriHL,

So I've been tinkering all night trying to fix my XT925 - I tried the RSD Flasher and House of Moto. I have a slightly different problem and I thought this would work but I saw a lot of errors in the console while using this so I doubt it.

2 nights ago my phone randomly restarted and on boot was going to a 'Encryption was interrupted' screen. I haven't clicked it yet because I'd like to pull any data I can out of the internal SD card first (if possible, I have some semi-valuable stuff on there), so I thought I'd use your KEEP DATA thing to flash a stock recovery. Anyway, with RSD Flasher when it goes into RSD Lite, it was giving a 'partition_signed' -> phone returned FAIL for every line. For house of moto, it ran, rebooted phone but I noticed a lot of errors in the console.

That said it still boots up to the encryption was interrupted screen, and going into 'Recovery' option throws a dead android.

Is it bricked? What can I do?
