As for what you're doing wrong, you also did not "follow directions to a T" else you'd not have a directory called:
Directory of C:\HouseOfMoto\FXZ_xt907\VZW_XT907_4.0.4-7.7.1Q-144_SMQ_S1-36-10_CFC.xml

Thanks again for your help SamuriHL, however it looks as if i opened my trap to quickly. I just seen the phone rebooting, sent you a thanks and ran off to the store for smokes.Came back and the phone was off, so I turned it on to see it sit at warning bootloader unlocked screen then it just shuts down. Heres changelog.
Wish I knew about this stuff as well as you lol, I feel like a pest.

That log isn't going to help me. I need to see the log of flashing. Either capture the text if you're using fastboot mode or send me the contents of the HouseOfMoto\rsd\swdl.txt file if you're using RSD mode. Looks like the right FXZ this time and everything's installed correctly so that's good.

I've read that the battery is not needed to flash..is that correct? I know these are a royal pain to remove, but i need this phone badly.
Posted 14 April 2014 - 03:35 PM
You need a charged battery or as John said a TBH adapter.

Only if you have the adapter I just linked to. Otherwise, see that low battery warning in your log? Your phone disagrees with your assertion that the battery isn't needed.

This just pulled my phone out of a rooted side-load which I had accidentally deleted the primary image without backing it up, follwed by a botched attempt to unlock which got it stuck in Fastboot.
Everything went as expected doing a full recovery.
Thanks for your work on this, great util.

Actually It did work..it was an htc post and desperate so i tried it. I pulled the battery plugged into usb. I got it to go in recovery the rebooted to fastload..flashed it and the phone came on working. I put the battery back in and put it on charger and its at 18%..its charging

Trying to prep my phone for re-sale, brain farted and deleted the stock rom in Safestrap. OOPS. Pulled out my older HOB files, deleted Safestrap, failed, probably would have worked had I picked fastboot mode instead of RSD mode. Downloaded newest version and related files, worked like a charm. A thousand blessings on you and yours Sam, thanks. (in the meantime, I DO like my new S5 )

Hi Guys,
I'm pretty sure I followed the directions 100% (which means I probably didn't) and I'm getting an error not covered by anyone else that I can see.
I am getting this error:
---------------------------
Error
---------------------------
Please check input file. Either XML format is wrong or image files associated with it are missing.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
Now the image files mentioned in the .xml file do exist so I dunno the cause of the error.
I'm trying to fix a soft brick caused by trying to install cyanogenmod on a Droid Bionic Xt875.
I'm using win8.1, the cmd window is running as admin, antivirus is temporarily disabled.
I do not have the original usb cable

So... Any Ideas?
P.S. crap now the phone says the battery is low, will it charge on the fast boot screen?
Posted 25 April 2014 - 04:19 PM
Your install looks ok. Not sure why you're getting an error. And no, it won't charge in fastboot mode which is not good. You may need to get a team blackhat adapter.

Thanks, I think I finally have it charging (phone is off with a white light on....
I'm going to try this again on my win7 machine and see if I have better luck...
I'm really hoping to get the phone working..
Say, anyone know for sure if u can use this phone w/ AT&T? I read elsewhere that Moto included both radio networks in the chipset. Does anyone know if that is really the case and of so how to get it working? (assumng I can unbrick it of course...)
Posted 25 April 2014 - 04:43 PM
You may have to flash something to get it to work on AT&T. You'll have to search for it. It's not something I ever did with mine. We'll get you unbricked, though. Charge it up and we'll see if we can figure out what's going on for you with flashing the FXZ.
