Thanks for the quick reply Samuri!  A helpful user on XDA suggested I reflash the stock radios, which I just did now, and it solved the Wifi problem!  

 

But good to know that I can use House of Moto to flash FXZ 4.4 in case I ever need it.  

 

About losing root, I did MotoWpNoMo and the first half SlapMyMoto before I took the OTA 4.4, so could I just apply the second part of SlapMyMoto after I flash 4.4 FXZ to get root back?  Or does that only work if you're coming from the 12.15 Camera Update?  If not, can you downgrade using House of Moto back to 12.15 Camera Update, and do it all over again?  Thank you.

I don't have a Moto phone so I'm not up on the latest root methods for your Maxx.  I do know that you can NOT downgrade once you're on 4.4.  They've security locked it.  So if you don't have a root exploit for 4.4 you'll want to be very careful about flashing the system partition.  My new tool will have the ability to select what steps you want to flash from the FXZ using a custom option.  I'll hopefully have the custom option done sometime this week...maybe even tonight if I get time.  If the system partition isn't the problem you're trying to fix, then you could unselect it and keep root.  I'll update this thread when I have that functionality done.  I have one more thing I want to add before I do the custom option.

Ok I have an issue, I have droid razr m, I can access ap fastboot and stock recovery. When I go to boot the phone it gets stuck on the droid eye boot animation, I did exactly what you said on the top of this page and I did every configuration that there was (universal, full, under rsd and fastboot) and nothing changed it. Is there any hope for this. I am new to this, but can follow directions.

What FXZ are you attempting to flash?  The filename of the FXZ.

Yes rsd rebooted the phone when it was done and it is still stuck on the red eye

but rsd was still saying it was waiting on device to be rebooted and about 30 mins later it says to manually reboot device so i rebooted in stock recovery and wiped data and wiped cashe and then attempted to boot normal but still it hung up at boot animation red eye.

at this point i want to just format the system  partition and flash something that will work on it but don't know how. Do you have any more recommendations?

FXZ_xt907 is NOT what I was looking for.  I asked for the exact filename of the FXZ file you downloaded.  I asked for that for a reason.  Since this is taking too long to get the answers I need to help you, let's go another step further.  In the rsd directory, there's an swdl.txt.  Post the contents of that file, as well so we can move this along.
