Under the HouseofMoto Directory you should have a directory called FXZ_xt1080 with the support files in it.

I just figured it out. I used his prototype script generator and generated my own scrips for the device. Thanks for all the help. I was using the droid ultra scripts rather than the maxx scripts.

Thank you for the great scripts/hard work and all the info! My month-old Moto MAXX bootlooped after I attempted to abort an update earlier this week. The only 'issues' I had were:
1 -Getting the paths correct (the changes you made in 2.0 re: script location in FZX folder confused me at first)IF I had read all of the guide AND this thread more carefully...
2 -RSD Lite didn't complete after the manual reboot.( I've seen this before using RSD ). Unplug and power off the phone - return to fastboot (Power/Vol down). Re-plug and RSD Lite should complete.
After the phone bootlooped, I resigned myself to either going to Verizon (they've been good to me in the past re: ignoring root etc.), OR RSD Lite.
Running RSD Lite as a script and saving my data is much appreciated - it sure beats going to Verizon with a bootlooped, rooted phone and possibly having to, with 'hat-in-hand' beg for mercy from the Verizon tech staff.
My path problems were caused by -OVERTHINKING-. The process worked perfectly when I simply extracted all the files to C:\HouseOfMoto instead of trying to 'help' the process by extracting to my external drive and moving the files to C:\HouseOfMoto.
This overthinking probably cost me 30 minutes. :-)
Note to other users: After initiating HouseOfMoto.bat and selecting Flash Mode and Phone Type - IF you find that you are getting a 'file not found error'... choose E (exit). Erase Your existing HouseOfMoto directory and start over - follow the directions in the 2.0 Guide about extracting files literally. Also if you're rooted, once HOM/RSD completes; take the time to block updates -
Thanks

So, Sam.... Eye... with the news today/yesterday, is it possible to roll out the 9.30 rooting method via HoM? I haven't even had a chance to look at it to see what is entailed, if its packaged with a run script or what... can't wait to see whats next, though!

You could change their bat file to run.bat and stick the files in the root directory of the House of Moto install. That should, in theory, allow you to kick off root from the HoM menu. I've no phone to try that one myself, but, it's at least possible that it'd work. Better yet, someone (maybe me, but, I LITERALLY just got home about 20 minutes ago from a very long day of travel) should make a special run.bat for it to stick in the root directory with it that doesn't do all the KNOX crap that you Moto guys and gals don't have. I'll see if I have time later to whip something up.

Works great to restore boot loop on rooted droid maxx xt1080m that kepts restarting after it loaded home screen. I'd accidentaly tried to install 4.3 update.

Is there a problem with the house of moto 2.0.zip? I am trying to download but nada! Not connecting. Everything else downloaded fine.
I have a stock VZW Bionic that was flashed to page plus and the JB OTA does not work. Will this cure my problem?
Thanks.

No problem with the download. It's hosted on my personal mediafire account.
And it may solve your problem if you use it with the proper FXZ.

Ok it downloaded this time and evertthing is set. I ran it and got an error message ... "the program can't start because AdbWinApi.dll is missing ..."
running windows 7 under vmware fusion.
on mac side I did the chmod +x houseofmoto.sh but when I click it, it just opens in a text editor. How do you get it to run on a mac?
Help..

Get the xt875 support file again and re-extract it. It has the missing dll file now. As for mac, don't run one, so don't know. I'm guessing you'd open a terminal window to the folder and do a ./HouseOfMoto.sh to run it.

Updated the xt912 support file, as well. It'll now work for those of you that don't have the platform tools in the path.

"error: cannot load 'allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm.bin': No such file or directory"
And of course you verified that those files that are missing are in fact in the FXZ_xt875 directory? Cause part of the directions tell you to extract the FXZ you're trying to flash into the FXZ_xt875 directory. Note the FXZ is *NOT* provided by my downloads, as the directions clearly indicate.

are you using a real Moto cable, and cant be USB 3.0 port on pc
Posted 23 January 2014 - 09:30 AM
My gut instinct tells me that's a USB connection issue error. But I'm not 100% sure.
