I am currently rooted and I am having a hard time booting into the bootloader. ADB command to do so works fine but I have only gotten it into the menu with hardware keys one time. I am holding vol down and then pressing and holding power while still holding vol down. I have held them everything from 3-10 seconds and release both together and still no go. Sometimes the phone acts like it does not respond to even trying to power on with just power button. The button works perfect inside the OS however. And battery is charged. Any help?

I was told to come here on XDa for some reason. Thanks I will try both power buttons. Is there a way to boot into fastboot using adb?

Are you using the HoM? If so, this is the right place for help with that. As for adb, yea, just run this:
adb reboot-bootloader
That'll put you in AP Fastboot mode.

In your FXZ dir, there's a windows directory with fastboot.exe. Replace the snapdragon-fastboot.exe in the utils dir with that (rename the existing one, copy the one from the FXZ dir to utils, and rename it to snapdragon-fastboot.exe) and run it again.

this is probably pretty basic but...
I have an xt1080. I followed the direction downloading house of moto and the FXZ files. THey're in the right directory. No spaces in the path. I run the batch file, choose the phone ("xt1080") and the snapdragon flash mode, but I get "File not Found" and a loop back to "Change, flash mode, change phone, or exit".
Can you help?
THanks,
Mike

Post the output of the CreateLog script. I'm pretty sure your claim of "everything's in the right directory" isn't entirely accurate.

It should not be taking that long..... it sounds like its hung..... probably either need to "toggle" USB (unplug then plug back in) .... or stop the process and start over......
Good Call....Thx

The HoM supports and appreciates DE devices and their official factory images. Just sayin'
