Hey guys! I was able to find a stock boot.img and recovery.img, from that place which shall remain un-named (LOL), convert them to Odin flashable tar.md5 files and then flash them to my Dev device. So I am basically fully stock right now, with the exception of having root. However, when I boot my phone I still see the "custom/padlock unlocked" boot screen. Entering "download" mode I see System Status as official, but Current Binary as custom. I have heard of TriangleAway but am not sure if it will solve my issue by resetting the binary counter to 0 and am reluctant to try that app even though it says the SCH-i545 is supported - I can't risk a bricked device. I was wondering if there were any other thoughts on the matter or if any of you guys have had experience with this.

The end goal in this whole thing is to create an as close to stock backup as I can make for the sole purpose of having a safety net of sorts.

Also, I pretty much know the answer to this, but without a custom recovery or root is there any way to pull the stock "install-recovery.sh" from "/system/etc/" or obtain a system dump from an unmodified Dev. Edition device? (**ducks to avoid being hit**)

<maybe I will just go and send myself to the corner> :-)

I uploaded the tar files to my dropbox. I created them from the boot.img and recovery.img files over in the XDA thread. The image files were originally posted by bait-Fish, et al. I have flashed them without issue.

Yes, XDA does suck. I haven't spent much time over there in the past, but I just recently browsed some of the threads and those guys can definitely be rude and condescending! God forbid the same question may arise in a thread a couple times and they throw a fit!

And actually I believe right now TriangleAway only supports the SCH-i545 retail with an exploit-unlocked bootloader and not our Dev Edition SCH-i545.
