On 2.9 I am getting a persistent location set by GPS notification. I can't clear it unless I disable location services and reboot. Am I missing something?

Try flash clear stock ROM by RSD lite, lock GPS and make clear flash of LS 2.9 - it will remove annoying notification!

 

P.S. It works if you have no OTA 78

For me, Deadmans version 3.0 (on the xt926) wasnt particularly good. I am using one from a different developer, but not on our site.

 

Sorry Deadman, I realize youre a part of the official team, but I had too many issues and the other dev is churning out new versions almost nightly with virtually everything working properly. 

 

 

No insults intended to Deadman, hopefully as an official team member he is working on something a little more important. Maybe the team should get the guy to join

Damn guys!! Just installed this rom on gf's new Razr M, rooted, unlocked, custom twrp!! Very sweet work!! Truly "Liquid Smooth" She wanted this rom "out of the box" install, booted stock long enough to root, unlock, recovery, install!! Flawless from start to finish!! She be tweakin' the hell out of it, what more can I say!! :

Use 4.3 Gapps and do a data wipe before flashing.

Known Issues:
1. Bluetooth
2. Halo notifications

First boot will take a little while (five minutes+).

If you loose root access
1. Go to superuser >settings
2. Change Superuser Access to "Apps and Adb"
3. If that doesn't work then also check the "Declared Permission" box
4. Still have trouble try reading this

If you're on the most recent update, you can't unlock the bootloader.  Unfortunately, you're stuck with SS and root.

I just found that out and it sucks. hopefully they come out with an exploit soon! thanks for the help though! really appreciate the feedback on this site!

I'm thinking your best bet would be to get a developer addition m and sell your current phone. That my plan for when I upgrade from my m because having an unlocked phone almost seems like a necessity now for me.

how would i know its a devoloper edition? sorry im new to all of this i will research more into it

It would be advertised as such. As an example it would say "Motorola Droid RAZR M Developer Edition". More current would be "MOTO X Developer Edition".
