OK so I am going to try the ES file manager. I have done all the enabling steps etc. But when SD Card shows it seems to be looking in my internal storage. The file is on my sd card.

Was on 206 for a long time, finally flashed 210 a couple days ago. Don't think I'm enough of a crackflasher to go to 211 today lol but its nice to see Moto is building frequently, like they're trying to get the last tweaks for an official build.

Ok running into problem. I fastbooted to 181 in utility and then rooted. put the 211 file on my sd card. held vol+- and power. Hit recovery. install zip from sd card. installed the file. at the end said something E; install aborted. could not sideload...or something. now reboot only goes to dual core screen. any help?

fastboot back to 181 again do not root put the zip in your external sdcard and go into recovery and install from there ...no errors then reroot after.

Looks like I made it! Thanks guys! I did do it through the ES file/Rom Manager from 181 to 211. And it did keep data and also still have root.

Just an FYI for anyone who is going to root by reverting to the old boot.IMG -- MAKE SURE WIFI IS OFF - if you don't your phone will boot to the unlock screen and then freeze. I had to put the 4.0.4 boot.img back on my phone, toggle wifi, then reflash to get it going :)

OP: Thank you for this, and especially for the Unstick tool. I had problems getting .211 ICS to install over .181 because of a BusyBox update that I had done. I eventually had to flash back to .181 using the 1.6 Razr Utility and even after that I couldn't get .211 ICS to install. After flashing the .211 boot image using the Unstick, I got ICS installed smoothly. Thanks a ton!

@P3Droid: Morning, IMO its pointless to keep upgrading your device 209/210/211/etc. not seeing a difference. This thing is ready to drop...

I could not agree more with him. I laugh daily at all you folks wasting all this time updating for next to nothing in gains. Hell I've still got mine on 79 still and besides the silly battery reporting issue which I figured out how to correct I've had no problems. Data is rock solid and everything I need works just fine for my needs. IMO I just see absolutely no point in updating to all these new leaks that keep dropping. Just my personal .02

I agree with you and P3. I believe It's ready to drop at any moment. I'm sitting on .79 just like you and don't plan on moving until the Ota drops. :-) Really can't see any justification in moving to any other build, other than back to GB when things are kosher with the Ota.
Edit: I had to think about it for a moment, then it hit me lol. Crackflashers! That is all. :-)

I've been sitting quietly on 206 and will update once the final OTA comes out. There aren't any killer issues for me so tossing on a new incremental build isn't worth it. At this rate, plus the random Verizon text message, the update has to be relatively soon.

I'm still on the .75 leak and all that I need/use works for me and no data drops...but I'm so anxious to flash .211.

Moved on to the LG G2 on VZW and lovin it!

Don't open the Pandora's Box. I was in the same boat till Sunday, and now i've been flashing every single day.

Put the .zip and .crc (the .crc isn't *needed*, but I've become used to putting it on there as well, since it's so small anyhow), on the root of your SD CARD, and flash it through moto recovery. Everyone wants to use the rom manager method, but even matt tells people to sideload with moto recovery, as its, IMHO, the easiest way to get it done.

Totally agree. Yesterday I went from .181 to .210 by doing it this way.

Up until I got to .75, I was flashing like it was the 4th of July! Flash, flash, flash.
