im not impressed by .211. my battery life & 4g signal are much worse than .209 was for me, i hope this won't be the final build.

Go back to 209. We have so many leaks to pick from. 211 seems alright to me. Signal is great but haven't really tested the battery. It does last more than a day on my maxx tho

This is the stuff that drives me nuts! I was ready to jump again this morning as I remembered over the weekend my journey to GB - and not being able to go back. I figure, this phone has great support, great devs, and kicks butt, so why not take the leap. I've been off OTA since the 2nd day I owned this.

BUT - GB / Eclipse is working SO WELL, I'd hate to run into any problems. I have 2 full day battery (Maxx), rock solid signal, no matter what. It would suck to jump and give that up.

The signal isnt great in my area so I cant comment on that but as far as battery goes, I am getting a lot better battery with .211. I was only getting around 23 hours with .209 and now i'm getting closer to a day and a half off of a charge.

Signal is great with 211 and my battery is the same as it was with 209. You need to let it settle in for a day or so and the battery goes back to normal. at least thats what my experience has shown me.

This is not a bug. On ICS widgets are added through the app drawer.

I noticed this too. If apps are meant to be added through the app drawer, then why even have a long press on desktop for widget selection?

If you have poor reception your battery will go fater as your phone is searching for a connection, one of the builds had an option in network options to turn off 4G in order to stop that, now its gone, but Global is an option.

You can't on the stock launcher. It just brings up wallpapers

Moto should take a hint from independent developers. Most custom ROMS have more options in the long press pop-up. Way easier that way.

since the 211 is the one they are pushing out to beta test I wonder how long before rsd lite or similar gets updated so we can fastboot back if needed. even if you can't I don't figure moto will push out jellybean or anything else in the near future maybe a few bug fixes.

If you look at DroidLife's report on all the previous leaks, they also say "Build 20x leaks, could be official?" "Build 84 leaks, could be official?" "Build blocka blocka leaks, could be official?" They are just adding that to get page views.

For those of you looking for an app widget picker from the long press home screen on custom launchers this one works well:

Question:

What has been stopping me from jumping on these leaks is the fact that I cannot, repeat cannot roll back to Gingerbread 2.3.6. Now, with all of this discussed, will I be able to roll back to GB off the OTA? I just dont like the feeling of jumping to an unofficial OTA and then being stuck there god forbid I ever wanted to jump to the actual thing.

Those that installed 211, silly question maybe, but is the news widget from original razr/maxx there? Every build I've tried of ICS it's missing, on 210 now and with official in 1-2 weeks I don't want to redo the phone again to 211 to find out...but if it has it, I'll do it now :-)

Thanks!

No such thing as an "unofficial OTA". Once the OTA is released, if you accept it, you will not be able to go back to GB.
