Was with IBM for 14 years starting in POS as a hardware technician then got into Systems before being let go. (IBM just sold their POS division to Toshiba, who is starting to compete in the USA)I am a co-owner of a Point of Sale company. We install and service touchscreen systems for restaurants and do a much smaller amount in the general retail industry.

Stay away from IBM if you know what's good for you folks...
Anyhow, I currently work for at a data center out of Dallas, TX making almost twice as I did with IBM (was way underpaid) and doing 1/4 of the work. <3 Texas

I would like to personally thank all of you that are/were in the military. Our country would not be the same without you. I'm glad that this community has brought us all together. Again, THANK YOU!

I believe I can speak for every vet here when I say "you're very welcome". Not everyone serves for the same reason. Some for college money, others because it's a job, others just feel it's their duty and do it for patriotic reasons. I think most Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen leave the service with a different mentality. I think the majority become patriots at some point and remain so indefinitely. Most are proud of their service but with humility. It's always great to hear a "thank you" :-)
It is truly great to see so many vets in one place, as well as the users who appreciate having us vets around.
Thanks everybody... HOOAH!!!

+1. I was never really patriotic until joining the Army. Now 5 years later, I have a whole new respect for those that serve with me, and those that served before me.
