plz help me lol, i downloaded the file, used winrar to extract it, downlaoded superuser and busybox, enabled usb debuging and put it in mtp mode and it just wont work. At first when i start it it begins rooting it but it never finishes it and i never see where it says your device has been rooted. The black screen just disappears before it has finished.

Does this work for XP? Can´t open it, it says "unexpected end of the file" tried downloading it several times, no luck

Just got a replacement RAZR. I successfully rooted my previous RAZR no problem using both methods. This Tool and Matt's utility 1.6. My new RAZR came with .181 and I let it run the OTA (used leaks prior)

I am trying to root and all I get is "waiting for device" or can't detect device. I reinstalled the drivers etc. AP fastboot works because I tried using the 1.6 method reverting back to .85.

Nothing seems to work. Is my best bet trying a different laptop?

Here you go a root meathod brought to you by hacker812c ,over at XDA. Just download the ZIP file, extract it to your desktop. Open it up and click the windows or linux version.

YOU MUST MAKE SURE YOUR DEVICE IS NOT IN MASS STORAGE MODE. PUT IT IN MTP MODE!

Let the program do its thing then download SuperUser app from Google Play. You might need to download busybox also and install it.

Hey all, I actually had my phone rooted by a buddy of mine, but I think he did it wrong because I can't use any root required apps. I should've done it myself, anywhoo This method is not working for me. I have USB DEbug checked and allow mock locations. I have .211 but I saw that someone else got it to work with that. Any suggestions?

1. Verify you have the latest drivers installed.
2. Use Razrs Edge Root instead.
3. Try a different usb port.
4. Try a different PC.

Hi guys,
I'm new to this whole thing, all I'm trying to do is clone my old phone. I have the Razr Maxx with 4.0.4, I broke the screen and got another Razr. All I want to do is make my new phone the same as my old (broken screen) phone. Is there a step by step tutorial on how to do this?

I've tried downloading this 4 times now and winrar keeps saying it's corrupted. Unexpected end of file. Any ideas?

Disable any anti-virus software you may have on your computer or try something other than winrar... I was able to download and unpack fine with Linux so the file isn't corrupt.

wont download for me either. keeps saying the file is empty ot corrupt also.

i disabled my antivirus and it says the file is empty. i am right clicking on the zipped folder and clicking extract all.
