No.......... but, it never got past the "please wait............" stage.  So I didn't reboot, thinking it was still working toward a stable point before rebooting.  The only way I could reboot at that point, is the 3 finger salute, and using the recovery menu.  Should I try that?

 

EDIT - Got it.  When the VERY FIRST screen popped up - before the process.coms and the "please wait...........", I used power button to reboot.  I'm in !!!

No problem bud. Glad ya got it going. I wish I'd read your posts better before. I could have saved you some hassles. I was just reading back through...and it occurred to me..I never saw you mention the second reboot. Enjoy the ROM bro!!

For future reference, you can do the second reboot anytime after the welcome screen comes up. Just hit OK on the FC toast message and reboot

I have installed this ROM with SS and it seems to be lagging horribly. Not sure if there is something I need to check. I've never had this phone act like this.

Just a quick question... I am on the newest update, 2.5...... anyways when I am in settings, and I click where it says Viper fx audio,  I get unfortunately settings has stopped.  Is this supposed to happen or am I missing something?

no I did lol. Go back to the thread at my site and get the patch. That will fix viper until 2.6 gets released this weekend

I will just wait for the update, as it isnt inportant to me at this time.  Just going through and checking all the features out of this update! been running Rage for a whi;e and it seems a bit laggy at times, but its definately worth having as my daily! Thanks for all your hard work!  btw, would arggg Kernel work better for this rom?  any advantages of flashing it?

arrgghh kernel simply enables over clocking capabilities. If I were you I wouldn't wait on the update either lol. I personally can't live without viper lol. Its awesome and it'll take you 2 minutes to flash the patch

While flashing the 2.5 upgrade to RAGE, I got an error.  I downloaded the ZIP again onto my computer an copied to the external SD and Now I can't get back into TWRP recovery.  All I get it the RAGE logo.  What can I do?

Hold down both volume up and down and power button at the same time when the phone cuts off immediately let go of all 3 buttons and quickly hold volume up and down at the same time till the boot loader screen comes up then enter recovery that way. Let me know if you have any problems.

It's not the ROM, it's twrp that's causing your problem cause I've had the same thing happen to me. It's like twrp needs to be reloaded or something.

Thanks much.  I got into TWRP recovery.  Now going to try to flash again.

 

got same error:  error executing updater binary in zip

 

I downloaded it twice, with same results.  any ideas?
