Posted this out in the other forum:

Same here.. nice ROm but too laggy.
I did a full wipe flashed 4.1.2 stock, rooted, loaded twrp recovery loaded ROM and it works well half the time, the other half when i initially open an app it lags hard, like a black screen for maybe 30-60 seconds before I can even use the app. I'd say 90% of the apps do this on first run then it happens about half the time after that. Waking from lock sometimes is very slow and if I had an app open when it locked forget it, something like 20 seconds to unwake and I'm doing the power on/off dance.

Edit: I started on 2.1 then flashed the scripts. Then when 2.2 was up I flashed that and it was a bit better but still not really usable

Isnt that because its zipaligning the apks at boot? I could be wrong but I think gwtting the android is updating message is normal when using zipalign.....
The dude who says this rom is laggy....woah dude u must have missed something....this rom is lighting fast and the most stable one ive used aside from a dst build.....this is a stock based rom debloated and customized so I highly doubt its the rom and most likely a borked install...take a deep breathe a start over
Peace

Not usable??? Don't know about you but its great for me.  If you want to use a truly unusable phone, go buy a blackberry storm on initial release software. :p

I also get the upgrading thing sometimes. Byte I believe you are correct about the zip align causing that. I am fine with it.

Well we all know ymmv with ROMs since all phones are different but for me it is unusable. When I say it lags for 30-60 seconds I am not exaggerating. What is annoying is that it lags when you open the app so okay fine I'll set the phone down and wait but then there is wake lag so waking the phone up becomes a chore. And it happens almost all the time. I did a clean phone wipe so I know it's not that. Only thing i didnt do was RSD it or wipe the external SD

are you restoring apps with titanium backup? Have you ever been on a 4.2.2 ROM? You probably have an app somewhere screwing you up!

This rom keeps getting better on each update, the first release was pretty laggy but now there's virtually no lag. Keep up the good work!

Indeed, this rom is amazing! For those complaining about 2.2 being too slow and unusable is obviously a problem on there end because this room is very fast and stable. I have a question though, I've been using 4.2 and 4.3 based roms before coming to this one and so battery life was never good on those roms so I wanna know since I just installed it, how long does it take for the battery to settle in? Thanks and keep up the good work BadAzzBionic ;-) Sent from my Droid Razr Maxx HD

That's a tuff one it depends how you use I'm on they aaggrru kernel for 2days now overclocked to1890 I'm at 55% 8 hrs on 3screen on I think that's pretty good. Its gonna take at least a day to settle in.

Ive been flashing almost everything...was on 4.3 before flashing this....did u format data? Your internal sd needs to be wiped...ii wipe data/factory default when coming from a custom rom(make sure system is mounted...or u can wipe one by one /system /data /cache /dalvik-cache....and I only restore data with titanium when moving across roms...so install the app through play store and restore data after
As far as battery its comparable to stock...I have 16hrs 33mins and 67 percent left on medium usage...mostly gps and web browsing
Peace

How's the rom been for you on aaaaaarghs kernel? I was getting random reboots with it so I reflashed the rom and haven't had any problems.

Make sure the md5 matches.
Mount system.
Do suggested wipes.
Mount system again - wipes unmount it.
Flash rom.
Do suggested boots.

Doug B.

Thanks for the suggestions but as I previously stated (forgot to mention md5 verification) I ran through all the steps. I'm not a pro nor do I claim to be but I have been flashing for a few years. This is the first ROM that I have been unable to install. As the other person indicated, I suspect TWRP might be a possibility. I will try another time with CWM.

I have given up twrp a few months ago...long time cwm user...never an issue...I tried twrp when it first came out....then it got discontinued...tried to give it anothershot....but for me its so much less reliable than cwm...so I switched back and never looked back....and now that there is a touch cwm....I see no point to go back...I never had a failed restore with cwm....it could all be me own fault with failed twrp but thats my 2 cents

How can I wipe battery state if cwm recovery for the HD doesn't give you that option?

I've been using for over a week now and I have not had one random reboot. Hmm try the kernel again?
