In an effort to optimize this phone since it only has 1GB of RAM and it seems like most apps are starting to be constructed with a standard of 2GB in mind nowadays, I'm trying to thin out the number of apps running in the background. I noticed that even when I'm not using the stock home launcher, the Circles widget stays running in the background using anywhere from 8-10MB. Since I'm not using the stock launcher, I'd like to keep this process from running but can't for the life of me figure out how. I don't have the ability to disable it, I can't freeze it with App Quarantine, I can't Greenify it. Anyone know of a way to stop this process from running permanently?

Freeze it with Titanium Back up or if you you have Root Explorer you can remove it it should be under system/app/circlewidget3d
End of Line
Thank you for the input. Not sure why I didn't think of using a Root Browser. I just went in and changed the file extension from .apk to .bpk so that it's still there if I ever need it again. Checked and it's good as gone. Thanks for your help.

what app did you freeze it with... I had priblems with titanium on some apps so I tried ultimate backup... remember you have to rebootI believe Apex is the home launcher correct? I have been using it for months before this ROM even came out and its quiet as a mouse always has been. Or are you trying to use stock stock launcher if so its baked in to there the only way is freezing.

BuuF Theme Ok to be released...still a "work of art" in progress....
I'm leaving for Michigan to the lake house so im kinda in a hurry, but wanted to post a link...
I will create a thread in the theme section for updates and such when I return....
real quick:
aside from the theme (stock .apks), this package will install:
miui music player
miui notes
miuideskclock
miuifileexplorer
geniewidget.....all themed accordingly
downloadproviderui (was missing possibly intentional but I use it)
f you don't want them just remove them from the zip usind 7zip or something similar...
I am using the VRTheme package, whats nice about this is this theme will work across most roms, as instead of pushing the .apks its pushing the res folders inside the .apks
however I did make this one towards the rage rom.....I will release a universal package soon (basically just removing the extra .apks I added in)
credits go to villianrom team for their awesome theme package
mattahan aka paul Davey- devianart (original icon creator)
and countless devs across many site who have contributed to the BuuF theme experience
all the devs here for their countless work
and especially Team Rage for this kick rear end stock based rom...
I plan to write this more formally, and if you think I left you out in the credits don't be afraid to speak....Ive used so many elements from so many different themes/roms/mods over the years I have lost track (as this started as personal project)
I do not mean to intentionally leave anyone out where proper credit is due.....
ps I want to add fonts but they have been removed until I figure things out.....in the meantime I will upload them so they can manually be pushed until I get a fix!!!

Make sure the md5 matches. For the life of me I cannot figure out why this ROM fails every time I attempt to install it. I have re-downloaded it several times. I have followed the install instructions to the letter and still it always fails almost immediately after the install attempt using TWRP 2.5. Yes I am mounting System. My last attempt was on a freshly formatted internal memory. I have a xt926 if it helps. ...

I just installed a debloated 9.20.1 ROM that mhous posted over at droid-hive. Guess that one will have to do for now.
...
For some reason I had problems installing RageHD2.0 by using twrp. I would suggest you use CWM, I flashed it that way without any problems.

I don't know why you're having issues with TWRP but this ROM installs just fine with it. I'd appreciate it if you would refrain from making statements like this. Just because YOU cannot get it installed does not mean there's an issue with my ROM!For some reason RageHD2.0 and above won't install on twrp. I would suggest you use CWM, I flashed it that way without any problems.
