I got a question about the Dev Edition Recovery.

Does it have the same glitches with TWRP that the regular version does?

I currently am using a regular vzw s4 that i was lucky enough to get a custom recovery on before the update but every once in awhile in will freeze in the twrp boot screen. I saw that Samsung shows the dev edition in stock again. I was considering getting it. I've been pretty anti Samsung since the S3 I had becasue of the weak signal and battery life problems, the fact that it would get SOD constantly.

I already had this S4 on swappa to sale because I was planning on getting the Moto X Developer Edition but now I'm torn. I actually used this S4 for the last few days just to see what it was about and as I put in another thread a few people in this forum were correct. The signal strength is amazing. Pretty close to on par with My RAZR HD DEV I had and the battery life is pretty outstanding as well.
Thats why I was wondering about the Dev Edition S4, since it's factory unlocked.

Very confused Moto Fan Boy

While I like twrp's ui better I installed Phil'z touch cwm because people had no issues with it. So far so good.

So if you have to have root it will give you everything stock but recovery since you have to install custom to gain root?

Something like that.  Not for us on the GPE.  LOL.  We can fastboot boot the custom recovery img in memory to temporarily use CWM to flash supersu.zip.  It doesn't overwrite the recovery partition so we can then pull our partitions.  But you guys don't have fastboot support.  So you have to flash recovery first.

as long as you don't use 2.6 on twrp you shouldn't have any problems
