My have been asked already but can you make boot logos from regular photos?

Yes that is exactly what you need. Open up the readme file in the make your own logo folder for exact instructions on how to make logos. If you are having trouble PM me and i will help you out nect chance i get

• Extract zip to Desktop
• Open Command Prompt.
• Put phone into AP Fastboot (plug into computer usb)

Command prompt lines:

• cd desktop [enter]
• cd moto-fastboot [enter] - you should now be in \Desktop\moto-fastboot>
• moto-fastboot flash logo.bin Nebraska.img [enter]
• moto-fastboot reboot [enter]

you have always been able to make a boot logo, Alex was cool enough to make it an 1 click method instead of having to type out the commands. just create a logo 540x540 and flatten the image, set channel mix (red) red to 0 and blue to 100, then (blue) red to 100 and blue to 0, save as RAW with the extension (.img) on the end. take the zip I posted above for badger, place the img you created in there and when u type the command you just use your images name


still great work from Alex for compiling all the logos into 1 mod!!!

I'm not sure how to do it without photoshop but the file has to be a Photoshop RAW file (.RAW extension) and then you chane the extension to .img

I did it in Gimp just fine...

After you make your correctly sized image and change all "Channel Mixer" Settings"...
- Export to...
- Enter file name (w/ no extension)
- Then at bottom of export window click
+ "Select File Type (By Extension)
- Click in drop-down box and type "raw"
- Select "Raw image data" and click "Export"
- It'll give an error, just select "Save"
(the file will look odd wherever you save it but it's fine)
- Continue on with Custom Logo Changer Instructions
-Meaning copy/move your newly created file to the "Make Your Own Logo" folder in the Logo Changer Utility and rename it to logo.img l
- Then Run the LogoChanger.bat from that same folder where you put your image.

Sorry for length just wanted to spell it out for anyone else looking. Also included pic of my boot logo created in Gimp, note patchy spot in red area, due to being taken with the wife's iCrap
