Yep you flash the fxz with rsd

From My S4 Dev Edition

thanks, but thats kinda odd for me.. when i hit step 2 and press enter for rsd to pop up, it opens, and soon as it does, it just closes even when the phone is in ap fastboot.

but when i go to rsd inside the main zip and run it manually, its empty.

il wait for some one to test the new 1.1 motochopper since its not my phone.

and quick question, if i roll back the system version, why cant i just roll back the verison, and root using the unlock boot loader motochopper version so i can now have a unlocked boot loader?

Once you've taken the ota the tz (trusted zone) was upgraded and that prevents Motopocalypse from working so you are no longer able to unlock. The roll back only allows you to root.

Everything.  :)  The new version is a modification of motochopper.  No more downgrade crap.  It flashes the boot img from the old update that used to work with motochopper, reboots the phone, then applies motochopper like before, then flashes the new boot img back.  By using the old kernel (boot img) motochopper works on the new update, then we just put the new kernel back and you're done.  SOOOOO much simpler.

This was pretty easy, if you read it correctly.

Much love to the people who make this possible.

Ok Soooo, This is like my first post ever. To any forum. Please excuse the poor format :D

I have a Razr M xt907, system version 98.18.78.Verizon.en.us

I have never rooted, or boot loader unlocked this phone. I wish to enable the free tethering function. Do i need to go as far as flashing with a custom firmware? (is this possible with the boot loader being locked down in this version?) or can i just root it and change some sql code?

Thanks, and please forgive my noobness.

Thanks,

Nova

If you are unlocked you can just load twrp ver 2.5 and then reboot into recovery, then from within twrp choose reboot system and it'll ask if you want to restore root. I posted a link to 2.5 above
