Hi sorry for my bad english, I am from Germany and have an issue woth my RAZR M.
I updated my rooted device to 98.18.78 and the root was away.
Motochoper 1.3 did not work for me and when I swith on the RAZR M now it runs every time into the AP Fatboot mode.
Then I need to press ON + Vol down + Vol up together to start the phone.
A factory reset is also no longer possible - when trying this the phone reboots without any changes.
Can anyone please give me a link to download the whole stock rom 98.18.78 so I can completely setup a new rom with RSD lite?

I am on system version 98.30.1 xt907. Build 9.8.1Q-94-1. Can I root? I just got a replacement for my Razr which was unrepairable. The only phone they had to replace it with was the M. This is what was on it. I have been rooting since my original Droid. I miss crack flashing.

I have a Droid RAZR m with the 98.18.78 update. Before the update, my phone was unlocked for any GSM carrier. Now I am unable to get service where I was otherwise able to get full service. Will this hack allow my phone to be unlocked for any carrier again? Or will the update permanently lock my phone to Verizon?

Delete the update file in the cache folder. Then using TiBU freeze the updater.
I decided to buy TiBU pro so I froze the updater so that's good. Couldn't find where it was saved at in cache. I'm using root explorer. I'm not that worried about it though. It's a small download and it's not hurting anything.

Ah, I see. Do you know of any forums with tutorials or utilities for carrier unlocking after the update? I would greatly appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction, I'm fairly new to the world of phone rooting/unlocking. ThanksThis utility is not for carrier unlocking...."May the Schwartz be with you!!"

Freezing that .apk should be all you need.

Lemme guess. You didn't heed the big warning that it doesn't work on the latest update?

You're going to have to flash your boot img from the latest update. The easiest (IMNSHO) way to do so is to use my House of Moto KEEP DATA script with the FXZ for your latest version. You will not be able to root this version anyway.
