The directions don't say anything at all about RSD. That's because the directions don't use RSD. All I can say is I hope you read things thoroughly and understand them completely. Else you will learn why it says "you will brick your phone if you don't follow this exactly". It's not hyperbole or some theoretical risk. Far too many have already done so because they don't pay attention and make assumptions about what they think they know.

hey SamuriHL,
I know you sais on the first page "9.18.79 (or 9.20.1)" ... I just got this phone and came with 9.30.1XT926 (Razr HD).
Are you going to update your utility to work with the latest OTA?
Thanks

Obviously, im not Samuri LOL .... but Considering that there is no current root method at all for 9.30.1(locked devices) ..... then this utility cannot be "updated" to work with 9.30.1..... sorry

This is why ALL links to this script have been removed. This will render a device on 9.30.1 into a bricked state. Too many individuals did not heed the warnings.

Let me be clear. I didn't write motochopper. Dan R did. I simply updated it to make the exploit work on later builds. That no longer works. All of you on 9.30.1 are SOL as there is NO root exploit for it. This is the danger in updating without checking first if root still works. Consider it a life lesson handed out by Motorola.

Can we put a head line or something on the front page that says that the current updates have no root? haha

Good idea sir. Done.
Haha, nice. I was only being sarcastic, but in all reality this might take care of the questions.

No it won't. I hate to be a Debbie downer here but if they can't read the op and get that it applies to them, that's not going to make a bit of difference. Remember, when asked for what version they're on, half respond with 4.1.2. I have zero faith anymore...

On another note, what would be the best phone candidate to replace the RAZR Maxx HD?
