I have done every thing to specs. And still no root. Installed drivers and still comes up adb is not recognized. Please help :(

Uh, your profile says you have a Moto X, this is for the 926. And from your post it sounds like you didnt unzip the files or your not in the correct directory.

And did you extract the files to a folder?  And did you run the bat file from that folder?  The less information you provide, the harder it is for people to help you.

I think the problem is that when I plug in my usb cord  it just opens the razr hd and the mot file does not open when it should.

It doesn't need to.  Root doesn't require the SDCARD.

So you didn't extract it.  That'd cause it every time.

Why would it?  If you're using this script it means you're running the latest version.  Which as the OP says:

QUESTION: I'm on blah blah blah release and want to unlock but it's been patched in my version.  Can I downgrade and unlock?

ANSWER: NO

The first time, I had the same trouble like this picture above.

The second time, I had use factory reset for my mobile (Motorola razr HD), after it done, I also followed the instruction at top of this topic (done unzip and run file run.bat in folder), and It showed too many open files in system

What can I do next? :(

System version 9.18.79 XT926 verizon.en.US

Model number DROID RAZR HD

android version 4.1.2

Try a different USB port, different USB cable, and make sure the drivers are updated.
