I'm not even sure what ADB really is or what it does. So maybe?  All I know is it's what was given to me in that zip.  I don't think the fact I've rooted other phones would come back to bite me in the butt, would it?

As for doing the CD to command prompt, I saw a thread elsewhere that had me do all the things manually and it still didn't work.  I forgot to copy what I did/the result though, I was getting frustrated.

I already did.  I'll post the link again.  It's the copied text.  It's been the same (other than the times where I didn't remove SuperUser app and it said that failed, so between each attempt I've removed it).

The system cannot find the path specified.

That right there says you have PC issues.  It's not a Motochopper problem.

I am also guessing that you are double-clicking the bat file. Try and open a Command Prompt, cd into that folder and then run the bat file.

If this has been tried, sorry I didnt read too far back :)

I know how to get a command prompt but
cd into that folder?
run the bat?

Specifically, how?

Did you extract this to a path that has a space in it?  If so, don't do that.  Just extract it to C:\Motochopper and try again.

Alright, I'll try that.

But can you walk through the actual commands I should do in command prompt?  I'm not familiar with the exact verbage.

There's no need to run it in a cmd prompt.  Just extract it to C:\Motochopper and then double click the run.bat.  If you try to run it from a path with spaces then it'll likely fail.  E.G. c:\users\OMGZ Ponies\Desktop\Motochopper is bad.

It means hes not in the right folder.

%~dp0 is therefore pretty useful in a bat: it is the folder in which the executing bat file resides.

This could happen if the path has spaces.  Hence why I said, don't do that.  :)  It's not useless i a batch file, though.  It's used to make SURE you're in the directory that the script resides.

I use cygwin personally.  ;)  But most people looking for a one click root method aren't going to be using a cmd line.

Okay, got the wifi working, thanks very much.

Am I correct in my understanding that motochopper 1.2 will not give me the ability to flash CFW/kernels?

All I am able to do at this time is root the phone, correct?

Safestrap will allow custom rom flashing.  But not native flashing.  You need to be unlocked for that which you can't do.  So yes, root is all.

It still failed.  My desktop didn't have any spaces either in the user or anything else for the motochopper folder.

I still moved it to C:\Motochopper though.  Still no cigar.

You've got serious issues then.  Cause it's saying it can't find the current directory which, um, yeaaaaaaa.  This goes beyond a mere root problem.

OK so I went into command prompt and typed in cd C:\motochopper, then I did run.bat.  This is what I got:

OH BY THE WAY, the system cannot find the path specified is something that is going on when I run command line in general, I have an ANSCII-color thing installed for my minecraft server and it spits that out.

The system cannot find the path specified.

See this part here:

adb server is out of date.  killing...
ADB server didn't ACK
* failed to start daemon *
error:
adb server is out of date.  killing...

Unable to chmod /data/local/tmp/pwn: No such file or directory

It means it's failing to copy the pwn exploit to your phone.  Which is why it's failing.  It won't succeed until that's fixed.  Are you using the OEM USB cable that came with your phone?  Is it on a USB 2 port?  Do you have the latest Moto drivers installed?

So, ignore the directory bit.  I 100% know that it's unrelated to anything.  Just pulling up cmd line does it, and I've had this before rooting any of my other phones with no such issues.  I'm positive it has to do with ansicon.

I answered all of this in my first post.

I'm using USB 2.0, I've tried several of them.
OEM cable.

Latest drivers installed from the website.
