Well, you can but it involves locating a device that has that firmware or older on it and purchasing it.....

ROFL man the banter that goes back and forth here! Sam, ur a riot and will be surely missed in these hallowed (hollow?) halls... Thanks a ton for all your support to the Moto world. I don't know what I would've done w/o you when I bricked my Bionic. I had, at the time, only extreme noob-level experience with all things Android, and prior to the Bionic, my first and only smartphone was a Samsung Transform... I waited for 6 months, that thing never ONCE transformed into anything beyond a piece of crap... until I got the help of one individual... which is an excellent segue into the next point:
Welcome Timmy!!! For those of u who don't know his name, fear not, he may be limited in his Moto knowledge ATM, but he's no noob... Transform owners across the nation cheered his name. Between him and vampirefo, they managed to develop enough code to turn that POS into... well, it still sucked, but not HALF as bad as it did on stock. Timmy, you convinced me that Android was worth my time, being a PC tech since the DOS days, I was certain I would want a Win phone, but now I can't get away from Androids...
Now, with that out of the way... let the verbal abuse continue...
