Maybe it is just device to device variation, but I get 20+ hours quite easily without ever disabling 4G. I am in and out of Wifi, and use my constantly for music, email and camera.

OG Razr btw, currently on stock although I had similar results on .75 and .79. I never played with the ROMs based on the leaks. Currently I am not even rooted or debloated, trying to set a baseline to compare ICS to when they finally debut it officially.

Yes it does. So far everything works great. Great rom, Hicks. Glad you stayed.

ok weirdest thing...after flashing latest build (just wiped cache & Dalvik) everything was fine for about 15-20 min then after a reboot to see if battery would correct itself got caught in the endless com.android.phone process has stopped unexpectedly loop. so turned on airplane and see if could find the problem...nothing that I could tell. I reluctantly did a fresh install and of course seems to be fine now, restoring all my apps now... oddly enough the same thing happened with the BW ICS over the .181 Can anyone shed light on what causes this? Only thing I can think of was putting phone.apk on lockscreen shortcuts, but didn't start looping until reboot.

Awesome need it for my job. Wanted to make sure it would be worth fastbooting back then upgrading back to the leak. Wish i didn't flash the axiom complex now. Safestrap won't work with axiom complex.

Is there a reason I can't use led flashlight from notification toggle? It's greyed out under settings. Worked fine on .181 based gummy

Yep I was in the same boat. Took the plunge last night & haven't looked back. For me it was worth it, I was getting bored on stock.

Do you have the flashlight app they recommend installed?

For some reason on this build I am unable to turn the phone off. The screen will initially appear to go off, but if the room is dark enough you can still see that the back light is on . If its like this the phone won't be charging even if it's plugged in... Any thoughts on why this might be happening ?

I have definitely never heard of this happening and would have no idea how to fix it. You can't get the phone to turn off at all?

Sounds similar to the Sleep of Death (SoD) that many devices have had for a countless number of reasons. In this case, the cause would be the power-down sequence while normally it is related to waking from a sleep cycle or running background tasks while in sleep.

@Desire

Are you saying that holding power then hitting "Power Off" does this, or it also does it when holding Vol Down + Power (force power off), or simply when hitting "Power" to turn the screen off and put the phone to sleep that the backlight never fully shuts off? This is effectively two entirely different shutdown methods with one doing various checks, and the other ignoring them. Have you tried rebooting into Safestrap? If so, have you tried wiping all cache data (/cache and dalvik cache)? Have you attempted re-flashing the ROM to verify it flashed properly?

If it's plugged in, it seems to turn off funny. Mine even wants to go into safestrap mode, then needs a hard reset to do anything. I think simply not trying to charge while shutting down is the answer. Then you can plug in and get it to charge. I think it's a .79 issue, though.

Currently updating the ROM. I do not have a changelog available from the CM9 side right now but here are my changes:

Added the ability to add a "sound on boot." Just add any MP3 file to /system/media
Updated Beats Audio files again.
dalvik.vm.heapstartsize=16<--------
dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit=128 |-----------all to increase speed.
dalvik.vm.heapsize=320<------------
enabled JIT for speed

There is a known issue lately with CM9 to where you will get an unstable device when powering off OR on, while charging. Please try to avoid doing this!
