Are you just not hosting the 4.2.2 ROM anymore?

I know this sounds whack, but it has worked for me on multiple occasions. Back up just the data to external SD. Format SD, then do factory reset. Restore the backed data. Reboot. It should boot then. Don't ask me why that works but it does.Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 4
Is this something you've done to not get stuck at the boot logo? And if you FAC reset won't you loose root? I'm ready to try anything at this point because I keep getting stuck when rebooting. I'm currently on the latest chankang 4.3 and its great so far but haven't attempted a reboot yet.

Illusion is still 4.2.2 based. However, these are all ports and if the tree has been updated to 4.3, then it's safe to say all of these are going to be 4.3.

I did what you posted here with the exception of formatting SD. Only formatting option I found is for data so I did that. It rebooted just fine. So I tried a straight reboot and if got stuck in the boot logo. I'm thinking I might try the pacman 4.3 and see what happens.

Yes, this gets me past being stuck at the boot logo without losing my data when just clearing cache won't.Is this something you've done to not get stuck at the boot logo? No, you wouldn't lose root unless you wipe system.

OMG I'm glad you formatted data and not the external SD. That's what I intended to write. Only wipe the external sdcard if you have it backed up and can rebuild it if need be. I back mine up to my PC, but I don't ever wipe it.I did what you posted here with the exception of formatting SD. Only formatting option I found is for data so I did that. It rebooted just fine. I've only heard people using twrp 2.6 having this probem -- I'm still on 2.5 and I've never had a problem with backups, formatting, restoring, etc on 4.1, 4.2, or 4.3 ROMs. But idk... maybe I'm just lucky
