The Yankees2 logo looks just like the Mets. You had a great Yankees logo in your previous thread.

hoping to get some advice or input. My Moto x is running Jcases's 4.4 root, and I have changed boot logo using methods listed in a(nother) forum. However the logo formats used are .bmp, so would I need to convert (if possible) or just what are the possibilities of using the logos listed here ? Thx in advance

Hmmmm... the X uses .bmp for the boot logos?.... interesting.... I will look into that for you and see what can (or cannot) be done.....
Actually, I've seen posts on that "other" forum that seem to indicate that they use .img files for the bootlogos. Do either of you wizards of logos know if these are sized correctly to use with the Moto X?
And, as long as you're taking request (and staying with John's SW theme), how about a boot logo of either a X-wing or Darth's Tie Fighter??

I take no credit for any work done involving the operations I described, the directions to this procedure are posted by Jcase on another forum, however I saw the awesome work done here by the OP and just wondered about cross format applicability. I will say that file sizes differ, but there may be dimensional parameters involved (actual size of the image). I'm not yet brave enough to try flashing one of these .bin files to see what happens, even though I am currently awaiting a reply to the question in the same forum where I originally saw the info. I will update here as I learn more.

Could you PM me the link to the boot logo info on the "other" forum.... LOL I'd like to see for myself.... my goal is to make ALL the logos compatible with ALL moto devices...
the MX actually uses two different file types for the boot logo depending on whether the bootloader has been unlocked or not. One is stored is clogo which is for locked BL and from what I read, that can use a BMP, the other is called logo and it's for unlocked BL's and that uses a .bin file (not .img as I thought originally). As far as the sizing goes, I think they can be the same size as the revered Bionic bootlogos so I'm guessing everything you've made so far will be fine.
Here's the link to the "other" forum that discusses this: http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=2417961

OK here's a clarification: I'm using a retail (locked bootloader) Moto X. I said in my initial I was rooted with Jcases exploit, which I meant locked bootloader. I'm sorry if that omission created any confusion, and I have attempted to flash the .bin files to where my X draws its boot logo from (''clogo'' not ''logo'') which are in fact directories, rather than filename references. The files (.bin) will (apparently) flash to ''logo'' directory, but not to ''clogo'' directory, but since my phone doesn't call that directory, the ,bin files won't show up during boot. That is my personal experience, and while I still revere your hard work, my question is answered. The ,bin files would need to be converted to .bmp or .bmp files of the same design posted and used to flash to rooted X with locked bootloader. I would ask if you originally converted .bmp TO .bin or if you know of sources for similar logos you have posted here. The question now becomes why the retail X uses .bmp files, even though that might open up a whole new world of boot logos to the community, once they fit the size parameters. Again thanks to johnthehillbilly and ALL the awesome Android community members on this and other forums. Power to the (Android) People !

Here's what I will do..... I will start with one logo (to test) and convert it to .BMP and resize .... if it works for you, then I will work on converting ALL of them so those of you with the moto X can enjoy the logos as well :) ..... do you have a particular one in mind?....
Dude that's very cool thing to offer. I was looking at the Moto motherboard logo, incidentally I was prepared to do conversion myself and would offer to help however right now I don't have the software to convert. Been looking online for suitable applications to convert as I am not a coder. Anyway thanks and I will monitor and await to test your new effort, TIA !
